You hurt me... I couldn't stop laughing until my stomach really hurt. Just imagine a black Frodo with an afro haircut and some bling & ring around his neck. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The funniest example of adding in diversity for the sake of diversity is in Thor. Thor is a Norse god so you would think in Asgard where he lives you would only see Norse, but instead some of the most prominent Warriors are not Norse so that Asgard is "diverse".
That's been pulled due to inexplicable down-voting, especially in the UK. Shame, really: it was hilarious watching the token white lady gamefully trying to cope.
@@clogs4956 Lol so it wasn't just me that thought she wasn't quite comfortable? She looked like she was woke, but not full fruitloop tier crazy and so wasn't prepared for that situation. She did light up at the brief mention about more women in the series tho, so probably a garden variety feminist.
I think you forgot an important one. Theyoden, proudly leading the men of Rohavion a thousand years before the founding of Rohan, smashing all the bigoted orcs who insist on referring to them as "manflesh".
What about the dwarf that identifies as an elf? He dresses like an elf, talks like an elf, and tried surgery to make him more like an elf. Now, he looks elf-ish, meaning he's the first elfish impersonator. Such courage.
I did not see that coming🤣. BTW, I'm in my 20s, but I got the joke because I watched Veggietales as a kid and they used the same pun in "The Lord of the Beans".
I hope this is a weekly show!! Clogbar and Willis are great hosts! Maybe they could do the news from a Middle Earth perspective, sort of like the View and the Five... only with Two!
"A goat that identifies as a beautiful white horse" The best way to end wokism and other ridiculous ideologies in modern society is to point out their flaws with a lot of humor, just like you do! So... thank you for that!
The reason why satan used a rainbow to represent this movement that is ruining America, is because God’s promise to Not flood the whole world again was the rainbow. Now it is to represent sin to the sinners. It is just one of the many clear insults satan does infront of our eyes. Now he’s coming for children to insult God.
Per SON?! Wo MAN?! You are all shameless bigots with your horrifically gendered language! CLEARLY it should be Saruthing. No discriminating against non-persons!
@@HerculesBallsInc No how about discriminating none things and just call him Saru of all colors but white so even the non existent none things can be included (don't ask me what they are that's also discriminating)
I've been waiting for the parodies to start and can't believe it took this long, but thank you guys for kicking it off in style with this special exclusive sneak peek!
They are doing this in Greek Mythology for decades!!!! It is yet after 100+ years of cinema history that they havent even got right the real mythology of Hercules. And Hercules is by far not the only example.... Troy, Clash of the titans, Jason and the Argonauts etc etc... only one low budget mini series regarding Odyssey with Armand Assante was the only thing i ever saw, getting it right!! You only know Hercules from his visit in New York, from that Raimi TV series with Xena where he fought also Romans, from that Disney cartoon, from that Dwaine Johnson movie who was running around telling that his legends were just fake stories they made to scare his opponents, yousaw himt even as a...Gladiator!!! But never in his actual epic mythology story with the 12 labours and such...i give all this trying to say that they have done worse to other folklore already.
@@CODINE80 Hercules is what the Romans called him(Heracles is the Greek) Hercules us part of Roman mythology too. He defeated the monster Cacas, after which the Cacus stairs are named. Hercules had his own shrine in Rome and was worshiped.
@@musashidanmcgrath I am refering to him as Hercules because that is the only name people mostly know him from the various miss interpretations of Hollywood. He also wasn't two seperate mythological figures but one and the same which was originated in Greek myhtology. The Romans adapted that same Heracles myth in their culture and only gave him a few minor changes to his myth regarding mostly his birth tale events and the creation of the milky way. The majority of his myth remained the same for Romans as in the original Greek one. The point is that Hollywood NEVER cared to bring to screen faithfully not only his myth but not any other from the rich Greek mythology. There are only one or two at most respectfull adaptations but for all other attempts, they fucked up every myth to the core. For example if they cared enough to bring The Iliad epic poem to life as close to it's source material, instead of that generic and soulless Troy movie, today we could speak for another epic masterpiece like LOTR. That is why i say that they do this for years in other cultures.
Anyone find it odd that the Amazon series chronologically takes place before the Jackson trilogy. Yet some how in the future there is less diversity… suggesting that… you know🙄
Well, it does actually work that way in Tolkien's mythology: as the world progresses certain races died off (orcs, hobbits, dwarves) or "sailed West" to what's essentially Heaven. By the Fourth Age it's pretty much just Men. But ofc today "diversity" is just shorthand for "skin color because that's the only thing that matters"
I laughed WAY too hard at this. The Amazon show is looking to be a disaster, and I've been a bit down about it for awhile now, tbh, but this video made me feel that much better. My face literally hurts from grinning through the entire video. Good job, Babylon Bee.
For anyone who's curious, actual "diverse" characters include: Arondir and Bronwyn - A mixed race and species couple. Bronwyn is also a single mother Elrond - A mixed species orphan Elendil - The single father of three
Bronwyn: white/persian mother of a Philippino/Indonesian child Miriel: Black daughter of a Caucasian father Nori: white daughter of a black mother. In an extremely reclusive race pf Harfoots that hate outsiders but are somehow multi-racial
Obessidor would actually make a pretty awesome fighter. He wouldn't actually kill anyone, but just imagine how many archers could take cover behind his corpse?
Don't forget the character, Chiden: who takes his orders from an enemy nation on the other side of the world, while pretending to be the senile leader of his country.
How about the character of the supposedly white wizard Threwdough, who lovabley loved to dress up in fancy dress, and then it turned out he had an evil army of UN German orcs dressed in stupid green, poorely designed uniforms who where hell bent on conquering all the land and killing all the free men of Truckerdome.
I saved this to my abs/ core exercises playlist, I laughed so hard. Good thing it's washboard Wednesday. Gonna rest tomorrow and watch again Friday. Can't wait for the film to 'come out. '
Let me finish the dialog here: "He drives a delivery truck." "Is that hard?"..."What do you think, he has to show up for work on time EVERY single workday"
The only thing that would have made that funnier is when he said hi Mom he started screaming for meatloaf! LOL my wife and I were cracking up and we were thinking we probably haven't laughed that much since Wedding Crashers.
This video does a great job of presenting to the average person how insane wokeness has got. This pretty much represents what is actually going on with a tiny sprinkle of exaggeration, which is so scary.
I don't understand what is so scary about showing different kinds of people. But I do find it annoying when it is done just for the sake of it, making something what it is not.
Back in the mid 80's when I took my SAT's I checked the boxes saying I was a female Eskimo named Dooke. I am glad to see my people represented in this new version. Rock on Sylvester!
Holy Crap Batman! I didn't realize this was a Babylon Bee production! You had me fooled until I went to the bottom... After seeing the Wheel of Time screw up Amazon did, I'm expecting exactly this out of Amazon with the Rings of Power. I went from sadly shaking my head to laughing at how seriously I took this skit! In hind sight, GREAT JOB guys (and Klovbar's mom)!
"The Shadow that bred them can only mock, it cannot make: not real new things of its own. I don't think it gave life to the ores, it only ruined them and twisted them..." - J.R.R. Tolkien
Now THIS is something that I would actually watch! Too bad that Amazon didn’t hire you as script consultants. If I were Amazon I would have asked you to write it, cast it, and direct it! To hear a little dialog between Obesemer and Gay Gandalf would be hilarious! Too bad the world has the rings of power instead.
I'm so happy we're finally getting a "obese" character who is taken seriously. I can't believe how terribly they handled Bombur in the Hobbit trilogy. I was so looking forward for good representation, but he was just a joke the whole time and they made fun of his weight. Body shaming and fatphobia are equally as important and racism, sexism and homophobia and it's great that Amazon finally has recognized this. I was hoping he might also be fighting in a wheelchair so he could perhaps represent those differently abled and show that having a different means of transportation isn't bad. Legless is a good stand in but he doesn't look the part. When I was a kid I always saw skinny people on TV and I felt terrible about myself. I'm sure others have felt the same, people over 500 pounds are people too! #endfatphobia
Freaking hilarious. I have brother in his 50s who's been a Tolkien freak since junior high. He's grown into a very conservative adult and apoplectic over this stuff.
Did you people not know that the dwarves were a mixture of transsexuals, queers, bisexuals, buggerers, queens ,and heteros . The terrifying Bowrock was a large BBQ that transitioned into that terrible creature, seriously.
Buggerers? There's a character named Bugger in the Harvard Lampoon parody Bored of the Rings. Which is a good read if you can find it. I had a friend that was a big LOTR fan and I convinced him to read it and he really enjoyed it. At first he didn't want to.
I think it would have been better if they made the orc a peaceful, misunderstood character who overcomes prejudice, since D&D got rid of the concept of evil races, and there are many people who consider orcs racist.
@@Carl_McMelvin There was a huge kerfuffle a couple years ago when someone decided that orcs were actually black people. Which is funny because Tolkein explicitly said that his yellow-skinned, slant-eyed, small and crooked orcs were totally supposed to be Asian people. Anyway, when the SJWs decided that orcs were actually black people, they forced D&D to make them all non-violent and totally misunderstood, and not thugs who beat up children for kicks and actually have a god of rape (as used to be the case).
@@HerculesBallsInc I don’t know what any of this is. What the hell is d and d? Also, sounds extremely libtarded. People need to stop bowing down to lunatics.
@@HerculesBallsInc That is the kind of thing that actually exposes the racism of the person who assumed the Orcs were black more than anything. "Oh, violent, nasty, ugly bad guys who go around looting and murdering and raping people? _You must be talking about black people_ , you racist bigot you!" Says the person who automatically associates that image with black people.
but that's 4 whole minutes of her not making you a sammich! sir, i applaud your painful sacrifice. i trust she washed the dishes with extra vigor out of sheer gratitude.
Ok I don't know how I missed them before, but this is the second video I get recommended from this channel. Hilarious *and* sadly on point. Subscribed :D
