Thank you for the content. I'm discovering/rediscovering photography because of content like yours and cheap, old cameras that no body wants anymore. And it's changing my life!
Dude I just wanna say that this is one of my favourite channels ever, i just know that one day i'll be proud of discovering you this early. Almost hate you for coming up with such a brilliant concept tho;)
Thanks! Going into this, I didn't know if there really were many other old camera lovers out there anymore, but it seems like there are. This is the kinda comment that keeps me going, even when it doesn't feel like it is going anywhere =)
Love this video! I started taking photos with old compact digital cameras recently. What I realized was that I was snapping more and having more fun than say a DSLR or even my phone. I really hope you would make more of such videos. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Love your video, agree with your point of view, refreshing to see someone else getting into the upside to simply composing and taking pictures with old digital point and shoots…. Sooooo boring to only hear camera types bemoaning the latest camera as just not sharp enough, need more pixels etc etc …… keep up the great videos
Would love to, when the budget allows. The X10 will be quite an upgrade from the S100 I use when I need something tiny; I've wondered if it is small enough to replace it.
Dawg I absolutely recommend the Xf10 from fuji if you wanna snap more pictures while out. I got one and it lives in my jacket pocket. Never took this many pictures before I got one. Got it lightly used for 200€ which is an insane value imo.
Due to the current market for these cameras and recent customer interactions, I need to make something super clear: Do not pay more than like $30 for one of these cameras. It is not worth it. This is a good camera at that price point or below; any more than that and it becomes a bad value. The memory cards for it are getting hard to find, and third party batteries do not last very long. In fact, the vast majority of compact cameras from before about 2012 are inherently worthless. If you are shopping around on eBay looking for one, stop. Explore some Goodwills and other thrift stores to find one. Don't pay inflated hype pricing; NONE of them are worth it. I wouldn't even pay more than $30 for a Canon or Sony compact camera, there is just no reason to.
@@fuzer4047 Unfortunately, good third-party batteries for these cameras don't exist. The most common you will find is Kastar. They make everything, and it all sucks. You can still get sealed Olympus batteries, but these are EXTREMELY old, so I can't vouch for their health. Still, might be worth a shot, although they are quite expensive.
Beacuse of pocket cameras mobility and flexibility people can use it more. Why do you think gr is so popular. Although some hype is there but it's a one hand camera with apsc 😅.
I have a question my little brother erased old photos and i want to see this erased photos and ia there any chance to see erased photos and how i do that???
@@mariamimanvelishvili2340 There is a way; to do this, I use a piece of free software called qphotoreq on the memory card when it is plugged into a computer. It will search for deleted files from the card, recover them, and dump them wherever you want. Just keep in mind, if you do this, dump the recovered photos onto a different drive (like the computer's hard drive), so it doesn't overwrite the files you are trying to recover on the memory card. There are a lot of instructions online showing how to use the program, it is pretty easy.
This needs an XD Picture Card, which are hard to find. The largest ones you're going to find are in the 2GB range, which is plenty for this thing. Between brands etc, it doesn't matter. Just whatever you can find cheapest for this cheapo camera. I don't recommend putting much money towards this thing, so if you find a cheap 256MB card, go with that and call it a day.
Easiest way would be Camera -> PC -> Mobile. I could see an Android phone possibly recognizing the camera as a Mass Storage Device over USB, but it's probably easier just to put stuff on the cloud from your computer and download to mobile.
@@forgottencameras How can I transfer photos onto my pc? Any recommended card readers or cables? Also any advice on this situation? (it’s okay if you don’t know the answer to this) I have a cheap card reader and also I’m not familiar with computers. Whenever I plug the card reader in my pc, it asks to format the disk and continues to warn me that if I continue, formatting will erase all data on disk. I have no idea what it means but from what it sounds like, it doesn’t seem good, and I’m afraid if I press continue it will erase all my photos on the memory card.
