Let's go back in time with Little Einsteins, Bear in the Big Blue House, The Wiggles and more as we discover the lost media from our favorite childhood Disney shows!
Thanks for watching everyone! Don't forget there's more lost media on my Twitter - twitter.com/LSuperSonicQ Music by jaxcheese - jaxcheese.bandcamp.com/ Animations by Foolish Connor - ru-vid.com
It was a great video. BTW I found a Stanley image which could be related to the pilot. In the image Stanley's wearing his pilot outfit and Dennis looks different
I remember disliking captain Carlos a lot because they were so repetitive. Then I saw one where Carlos actually ate the junk food. It caught me really off gaurd.
I just hated how they junk food out to be the devil. They should've done what LazyTown did and tell kids about moderation and having sweets every once in a while. Not have the kid audience boo at the junk food. No real child does that.
I haven't watched Captain Carlos for a long time and you're telling me that this kid ate junk food? *He becomes the very the thing he swore to destroy.*
@@jenneacubero1036 Yup. Not to mention that junk foods like potato chips and nachos are also made with real potatoes and corn too. So I wouldn't be surprised that Captain Carlos turned out to be hypocritical about it.
As a young child, I used too watch the Wiggles on Sprout. Unfortunately though, we never recorded any of the episodes, so I wouldnt have any. I just find it crazy that part of my childhood is now lost media!
@@FlameyFiredog there should be some sort of VHS to digital conversion cable that you can get online that connects from your VCR to a computer or search for shops that you can send your tapes to and then they convert it for you.
The fact that I remember so many of these shows; shows how old I am. This was fascinating I never knew Play House Disney had so many lost things I wonder if any of these will be found one day. Also seeing Clay and Ohh and Ahh hit me with a wave of nostalgia playing the flash games on the old website was my childhood I was so sad when I couldn't play Clay's games anymore.
@@ErikNilsen1337 Okay so I'm that old but I miss my childhood TV and cartoons were so good back then. Also video games Have you ever heard of Little Big Planet? That game was my childhood as well and has become a huge comfort game to me.
I had a DVD that contained that trailer, and it makes me feel the same way you do. At least I was eating a frosted cookie while watching it. Hell, I can vaguely remember the moments leading up to me seeing the trailer. I was around 4-5, I was holding the afformentioned cookie, and I just turned on my television. (I had left the DVD Player on while my grandmother and I went out) So when I turned on the Television to see THAT?! I wasn't all too disturbed. I thought it was a special, or some kind of new version of the show.
I really miss the online games that came with a lot of childhood franchises (Barbie, nick jr., playhouse Disney, etc.) that I just can't find anymore. I know they're not the most pressing piece of possibly lost media-if they even are lost media-but I wonder if it's possible to find them again
As the games are made out of the now irrelevant adobe flash, you can’t play them anymore since a year back. That’s because the adobe flash format, while also associated with boring cartoons from the 2000s that aren’t properly executed, it is also easily prone to glitching a lot!
Looking at the old versions of Manny's tools makes me pretty glad these designs were never used in the actual show. Especially with pilot Squeeze and Stretch, cause not only do they look super uncanny, they look more like something you'd find on a Sesame Workshop production.
Yeah true The only three characters who pretty much the same (except mild differences) were Pat, Dusty, and Rusty which thank god cause I really love their designs
@@TheLocalJavanese I mean to be fair, Out of all of the tools (both owned by Manny or was the automotive team) Pat (the hammer), Rusty (the monkey wrench), and Flicker (the flashlight) were the most recognizable characters in my opinion. Specially Flicker since back when Flicker was revealed to be the newest member in Manny’s workshop, there was an promotional commercial where it said something like “have you seen manny’s new tool flicker from handy Manny?” (Something like that) and you can find that promo on RU-vid which is neat!
I was just going to say that! It's one of those thinga that I vaguely remembered, but wasn'f sure if it was actually real or just a figment of my imagination.
The wiggles segment got me checking the lost media wiki about the wiggles. Apparently- Anthony Himself has shown interest in releasing some content on RU-vid. I'm hoping for an Anniversary we get the 16:9 versions of previous films, especially Wiggle Bay, that's a classic.
Yeah Anthony announced in October 2020 that unreleased content would be coming to the channel. We got two unreleased shows in November and December 2020, but since then we’ve only got 1 thing which started fairly recently being the Latin American Wiggles TV Series. Which they post about episode of every two weeks. That’s cool, but we haven’t gotten them as frequently as we have been told and the main one everyone wants (that being The Wiggles Big Show. A live show The Wiggles did that was filmed in 1997 and aired as a special in 2000, has been found by them but has yet to be uploaded. Unless someone finds the original airing of that show, we might have to wait a long while before we get The Wiggles Big Show. However Anthony had said recently that unreleased content will come more frequently soon so I hope he’s right about that and j hope The Wiggles Big Show is apart of that, fingers crossed!
@@bossboy5970 I just want the 16:9 versions of wiggle bay or the other films on Blu ray so I can show MY kids one day. Or could you imagine they use the 35MM Film Reel for The Wiggles movie to do a digital restoration in 4K? The Wiggles...in 4k, crazy to think about of all the movies out there.
@@YeomasBros.2008 I know but they’re treating junk food in the shorts like this: (from the opening) Healthy food: 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 Junk food: 👎👎👎👎👎👎👎 Like they’re treating the junk food like crap. I know it’s not good for you but can we all treat them equally and be humble about it? P.S. I hate the “booooo” sound a lot. That’s a sign that they don’t treat junk food like an equal.
Does anyone remember Bunnytown??? I used to play a game on the Playhouse Disney website where you'd make your own bunny and run around the town and I've never been able to find it. I seriously wonder if anyone remembers it because I can't find it on my cartoon watching shows 😭 It was either puppets or 3d animation, I genuinely can't remember but I used to love it so much I also remember it because there was a gag in the show where a rabbit would loose his blanket named "Squinchie(?)" and my cousin named her baby blanket after that gag
YES! I know exactly what you're talking about! I loved the games they had for the show on the website, the one where you made ice cream for the bunnies was my favorite!
I loved that game. It was where you played mini-games to win carrots, which let you buy clothes to customize your bunny. I remember trying to get all of the items, which I don’t think I’ve ever accomplished. Bunnytown was a puppet show, I recall.
The 90's and 2000's ones like "Rollie Pollie Ollie", "Bear in the Big Blue House", "Stanley" and that Clay mascot and etc seriously back a lotta nostalgia man lol ❤️.
7:52 It's sad seeing how so many people grew up watching Bear in the Big Blue House, but then a lot people either do not know about the spin-off Breakfast with Bear or have never watched a full episode of it. That spin-off explains the hiatus of the main show in 2005.
for real, i loved breakfast with bear and i know for a fact that i had multiple vhs tapes of it, but they got destroyed years ago with almost all the rest of my vhs tapes when my basement flooded. i now feel really bad about not keeping them in a safer place because who knows what was on the rest of them.
I didn't know it existed until now! I liked Bear in the Big Blue House but didn't get to see it live on TV much as our house didn't get the channel, so I watched our DVDs of it.
Anyone seen Nina needs to go? What a weird concept. For those who don’t know, the plot of each episode is about Nina, who says she doesn’t need to go to the restroom and then, 3 seconds later she realizes she does need to go. So she goes, and that’s basically it. Sometimes her ninja grandma helps her get to the restroom.
I recall LOVING Higglytown Heroes as a kid, and the show itself was on the brink of becoming lost media for YEARS... and then Disney just casually released it on Disney+ like it had been released before and totally archived for forever, but like, to my knowledge, this was the first rerelease the series ever had??? It's so weird what they did with it.
It went off the air originally on March 29th 2009(Special Agent also was pretty much its replacement) but then it finally returned on March 23rd 2012 when the Disney Junior channel launched. And it’s great that’s it on Disney+ too, it’s 1 of my faves as a child also
11:40 I can testify to this. I remember watching The Wiggles on Sprout back in the day, and even playing Flash games related to the Wiggles on Sprout's website. I knew The Wiggles were on Playhouse Disney before they moved to Sprout, but I never knew that the Sprout version of the show became lost media.
I watched the wiggles on both Australian Disney Jr and Abc Kids. I also saw them with Simon Cowell recently on an ad for UberEats. Am I proud of the Wiggles as a whole? Yeah!
That's strange, considering that I'm one of many kids of that generation whom grew up with it. But unfortunately, with age you tend to lose alot of memories. Especially ones from your early childhood as well.
While we are talking about our Wiggly childhoods Personally I grew up during Sam's era and was a fan of the band for almost all of the 5 years he was there. Such a great time. The Shimmie Shake will always be a masterpiece in my eyes. I still had Greg tho. I live in the UK so at the time most of the DVDs for the show were of Greg videos. Most were combo packs like Toot Toot Plus Yummy Yummy, Splish Splash Big Red Boat Plus Wiggle Bay and my personal favourite Hoop-Dee-Doo Plus It's A Wiggly Wiggly World. Hoop-Dee-Doo and Wiggly Wiggly World are both in my opinion the peak of the Greg Era. My love for the wiggles went on a hiatus for around 8 years when I discovered the Modern Wiggles. I wasn't able to use Internet at the time and after Ukulele Baby they stopped releasing stuff in the UK so I wasn't made aware of The new Wiggles for a while but then my Mum surprised me for my birthday in 2013 with a message from The Wiggles. I remember being so upset because while I recognised Anthony I had no idea who the other 3 were. That's really where my love for the wiggles was passed until now because I've been watching a lot of it lately and I still love it. I'm even getting used to the new ones. Moral of the story is listen to The Shimmie Shake ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-853apfSpKAk.html
@@SuperRosie39 I remember I was 7 years old when I heard that Murray, Greg, and Jeff would be leaving the band and would be replaced (and only one year after Greg returned from his hiatus). That was the first time I ever really felt betrayed, although I do understand why Murray, Greg, and Jeff left and I respect their collective decision.
No joking here, but as a big fan of lost media and having a place in my heart for the shows I watched as a kid (many of them and their Latin Spanish dubs, as I'm from Peru, being lost to this day), I almost teared up on the last part.
I remember watching Captain Carlos shorts on TV, I'm surprised they got lost. I also remember a Captain Carlos soccer game on the Playhouse Disney website.
I never saw clay dude on tv but that ad is so nostalgic and his voice sounds Timmy from fairly odd parents Jimmy from Jimmy neutron a little bit tho 🥲🥺
i feel so helpless watching this because i had a ton of vhs tapes from the playhouse disney era, and i know for a fact i had at least two tapes of breakfast with bear. the part that makes me feel helpless is they were sitting on the bottom shelf in the storage room in my basement when it flooded, and my mom threw them out because they were destroyed beyond recovery. i dont know what episodes were on there, but it physically hurts me knowing i could have had one of these missing episodes. i dont know what all was on the other tapes i had, im guessing probably a lot of mickey mouse clubhouse and probably some little einsteins, but im pretty sure most of them got destroyed in the flood and the rest of them my dad donated somewhere when we moved house.
Some of my best TV memories are of watching late-2000's Playhouse Disney, especially Special Agent Oso, Happy Monster Band, Little Einsteins, and those Ooh and Aah bumpers. I didn't know so much lost media existed for these old shows!
@@Kian694 Oh, absolutely! It sucks that it doesn't get any modern rereleases. Same with other interstitial shows, like Tasty Time with ZeFronk, which remained on DisneyNow for a while before eventually being removed.
anyone else remember Choo Choo Soul the segments of music between cartoons? like my god i loved that show just found the cd for them today and played it i remembered so much too... seriously their music was too dang good for a kids show!! if everyone in this world listened to " The Polite Song" this world would be a better place for sure!!
Me: Feels that any lost media after 1999 is too new to bother with. Also me: Feels old realizing that some of this stuff came out nearly a quarter of a century ago.
Does anyone remember the show "Can You Teach My Alligator Manners?", it's about a boy who has a pet alligator that hasn't learned manners, and the alligator slowly learns manners episode by episode, like saying please and thank you, blowing your nose into a tissue, etc.
Growing up on Playhouse Disney, it’s incredibly weird hearing how there’s so much lost media involving it, with Captain Carlos in particular being a bit daunting as those shorts would come on all the time and I somehow completely forgot that they existed until watching this video
From my understanding, it wasn't Disney that got rid of Wiggles, it was Wiggles not wanting to be associated with Disney anymore (for some reason), and the Imagination Movers were introduced to be a replacement that Disney solely owned.
About that, The Wiggles felt that they weren't being treated with enough respect anymore. They felt that Disney weren't advertising them and airing them as much as they used to back then, which is why they ditched Playhouse for Sprout (Which btw, was founded by Playhouse founder Andrew Beecham.) As for the Movers, they aren't actually owned by Disney, Disney only owns their 2008-2013 series and other some other content. Like The Wiggles, the Imagination Movers were only partnered with Disney back in the day and did co-productions with them.
@@treasureforever8861 That’s not exactly true. That could be part of the reason, but the main reason I’ve heard is that Disney wanted to take over the Wiggles brand and the four guys decide (although tempting for money) that it wouldn’t be a good idea considering they thought what they were doing was exactly the right content that young children need and the move wasn’t necessary. So because of that, The Wiggles left Disney.
I remember this clay-animation series about inanimate objects with little kids narrating/singing about the story, it shows in between ads and shows, it was very charming, the last one I remembered was a fork and a knife getting married
That sounds like a show i saw before. I forgot everything about it until my mom reminded me of it. It was called "I spy". I don't think it was clay animation though
same here. and then a year later, nick jr. retired moose and zee. in the span of a year, both childhood channels seemed to lose everything that made them special. kid me was devastated
@@Tendo641 yep, I loved Moose. A. Moose and Zee. On their final days they did this little song and then it cut to some grown up block playing movies and shows targeted toward moms. Me and my siblings were so mad lol
Same at first i thought they were separate channels so i asked my mom to watch playhouse disney and she said sorry thats not a thing anymore or something and ne and my sister had a tantrum
I thought baby Einsteins and little einsteins were the different shows ngl cuz I always used to see the baby einstein logo at the outro of little einsteins
I have very clear memories of seeing some Ooh and Ahh bumpers for Charlie and Lola (the only Playhouse Disney show I really really liked), and that one show with the Japanese bugs. One had one of them painting a crude portrait of a screenshot from the show, and another had a picture pop out of a jack-in-the-box.
FYI, The Wiggles have always been owned by the ABC (Australian Broadcasting Service) ever since the beginning of their career. But I believe the reason Disney aired it for a while was because their Disneyland tour in 1998 was when they were first introduced in the US.
The Wiggles aren't actually owned by the ABC, they've just been partnered with them [ABC] since their [The Wiggles] inception. Both companies have done numerous co-productions over the years, but The Wiggles company is independent. Edit: Fixed an error.
@@treasureforever8861 your are right actually, yes after The Wiggles Disneyland Special was popular Disney did want The Wiggles to air on The Disney Channel in Australia then since they popular in America grow they sign a deal with Disney for them in America then more countries after that. But The Wiggles didn't leave Disney in 2008 it's was mid 2009. of course of The Imagination Movers were getting more popular The Wiggles and Disney end there's deal in the US. Fun Fact: The Imagination Movers and The Wiggles do respect each other music, and Anthony is friends with Scott and Rich
@@BuddyKatz WAIT. Anthony has actually met them in person? I do know that both bands have crossed over before. The Wiggles appeared in their 2007 music video 'Everyday There's Something New', and were in the album 'Disney Music Block Party' along with the Movers.
Yeah same, When I watched it, it was on before I go to school (I think when I was living in Texas at the time, it was normally on between 6 to 7 am at the time) and I normally watched at least one or two episodes before I got on the bus (since when I was in elementary school I rode the bus where in Middle School and High School, I rode in the car but I sometimes was on the bus)
Seeing the sprout logo makes me feel *so* nostalgic. I remember watching Kipper on there every night when it came on, makes me wonder if Kipper has any lost media, because i have a large amount of the DVD’s because I grew up on Kipper.
As everyone is agreeing, the pilot Little Einsteins designs look horrifying. And personally, I think June was the worse of them. THANK GOODNESS her design changed for the better! She can’t be my favorite of the team, even to this day, if she looked how she did before the final designs. That hairstyle did not look good on her.
I totally remember all of these, especially an Ooh and Aah song where they’re like “can you aah with Aah?” and a kid’s like “I can aah with Aah!” and this one girl was like “I can eew with Eew!” and “I can eew!” Wonder how she grew up and if she knew teenager me babysitting my sisters used to make fun of her. Ah...those were the days.
I remember Captain Carlos very vaguely as a kid, but honestly I was more of a Lazytown kid growing up and probably would have forgotten about it if it wasn't brought up in lost media.
Please cover Qubo and Qubo Night Owl. That channel changed show line ups often and the shows were so obscure that everyone I know had different memories of what played at the time.
Yep. Qubo just recently discontinued their entire service (at least in my area) and it's so upsetting. I guess they lost sufficient viewership overtime :(
Lol seeing Rollie Pollie Ollie, and Bear in the Big Blue House brought back the most memories I haven't seen "Rollie Pollie Ollie" in literally 17 or 18 years man.
where do I go to find what people are looking for? my dad has a TON of these tapes he made for me and my brother, and I would love to look for stuff and help people who know what they're doing, unlike me! Things like Breakfast with Bear, and the Wiggles episodes, missing Higgly Town Heros show and tells. on the sprout channel have to be around my neck of the woods somewhere. (the dads in my area would trade dvds, cds, and vhs.)
I actually remember seeing the wiggles on playhouse disney on a video but I remember it used to be on sprout and it's on Netflix now I think cuz I saw it on there.
I really need to do this already as well. I have a bunch of old tapes my grandma recorded for my brother and I (we didn't have satelite/cable TV growing up). I know there's some obscure shit on those things, since she literally just sat the tape on record on the Disney channel, recording bumpers, commercials, and everything else. Only problem is getting a VCR and the time to do it.
One of the weirdest things I remember about little Einstein’s is in high school, the other students would sometimes play the song or sing it if a dj was around for events. I remember one guy jumping on a table dancing to the song. I’ve never seen the show by the way, but my big brother did
I actually remember the Sprout version of The Wiggles! I remember feeling rather upset when they replaced it with "Ready, Steady, Wiggle". I know it's the same show but, I just don't like it
The Aussie version of "Ready, Steady, Cook" was wrapping up 'round then too so think they wanted to jump on the recognisable name before it was too late.
i saw those monkeys and i was like what tf is that and why do i know them and then he said ooh and aah and i literally just like clapped and started making aggressive hand motions because of the nostalgia 😂
SAME! Tho, I don’t really understand why people got mad when Playhouse Disney was rebranded to Disney Jr. It’s basically the same thing just a different name! I always feel sad when people crap on my childhood :(
I have some VHS’s from my childhood where my parents would record playhouse Disney in the 2000’s. We’ve been wanting to digitize our VHS collection for years, but don’t know the best/easiest way to do it. The tapes probably aren’t in the best shape though, as they were watched quite a bit throughout not only my childhood, but also my brother’s.
I was definitely a Playhouse Disney kid and it’s super nostalgic to me. I’ve still got my Wiggles and Bear in the Big Blue House VHS tapes to this day. I had no idea there was lost content for both of them, especially The Wiggles. My mind is blown by how much is lost.
I watched bear in the big blue house on Australia’s ABC Kids. It’s a classic in my native country, cuz many early generation zed members watched it frequently. The show itself has also inspired shit tons of memes, which is a lot for a Jim Henson and Disney coproduction.
The ABC kids in the USA for me was around when I a toddler and kindergarten but I remember only some shows on there like idk the replacements the emperor's new school Zack and Cody and the old power rangers seasons
@@icantthinkofanything798 I’m an Australian and in that country, we pronounce Generation Zee as Generation Zed because Australia is a part of the commonwealth.
My parents say I used to watch the show all the time though I don’t ever remember watching it. All I can remember is the theme song, and that creepy ass moon puppet, or whatever the hell that thing is.
Ty so much for talking about handy Manny! You don’t know how much it means to me that someone finally talking about the missing pilot! Ty SupersonicQ! :) Also edit: At 12:53, I actually am a huge fan of Handy Manny (it’s actually one of my special interests cause I’m autistic) and based on my research some sources said it’s possible that this pilot could of been made in 2004 (which is about 2 years when the first official episode was released) so if I could make an official estimate on the actual release, it’s highly likely that it came out in 2005 but the production of the pilot could of started in late 2004 but like I said it’s alleged. Also while looking into this, interestingly enough. Someone (I don’t know if this user wants their username out there so I am gonna leave it as anonymous) actually found one of the cg artists for the pilot I believe named Kyran Kelly (based on my basic knowledge, they directed the pilot and did some of the cgi) and since they directed it, it’s very likely that he could have a copy of the original pilot on a tape somewhere but unfortunately I don’t think there is any way we could contact him to find out if he does and even if he does have an email or a phone number, as of me making this edit it’s kinda hard to find any kind of contact to him! But I do agree that it’s highly likely that this lost pilot would pop up again since it’s newish (well much newer compared to bear and the big blue house) so it’s possible! :) Edit 2: Apparently recently someone (not going to say their username since I want to be respectful just in case if they want to remain anonymous) had a magazine where it showed Manny’s original design which look wise he isn’t too much different compared to his final design however the style of him is quite different. (I think the best way to describe it is: It’s quite similar to the older designs of the Little Einsteins but with 3D if that make sense) and one mild difference besides the style is that in the final version Manny had only a red and white hat (with no logo on it what so ever) but in the pilot he had his shops logo on it and the logo is different compared to the final show which is quite interesting.
@Carter Kwakye-Safo that depends on the context, If you mean by the medical term, then no since based on the medical term its exclusively to autistic people However if you mean in general then you are right so it really depends on your context
@@moonbased7796 I actually interviewed Fred Stoller (the VA of Rusty!) in December, and he told me that Kurtwood Smith was to play Turner, but Dee Bradley Baker got to voice him instead. And also surprisingly, Manny was originally played by Carlos Alazqauri (The VA of Felipe & Abuelito). Unfortunately, he did not have any clips or photos from the pilot. It was a great interview, and hopefully more information will show up eventually.
remember all these shows. A few like Little Bear, Bear in the Big Blue House & Bob the Builder I only saw as VHS tapes/recordings as a toddler or so cause no cable until later on. I remember bits & pieces of Stanley like the time he mistakenly allowed his dog to get sprayed by a skunk, the panda & the teeth episodes & when his older brother finally found out the pets can talk & Stanley's magic book
@@TrinityDivineMozart That's cool, I also had a vhs tape with recordings of Noggin I think before Moose & Zee started hosting. I lost it at a friend's place & wish I had it for memories.
The interesting part for me in these kinds of videos is hearing not only about lost media and the searches for it, but also learning about some of these pieces of media I've never heard of to begin with as a non-American.
It's been a thing for a very very long time, but the fact that The Wiggles are known worldwide still blows me mind haha. From the early 90's, borrowing Wiggle audio tapes from the local library at 4 or 5 years old...to seein' em pop up in a lost media RU-vid vid haha. Good on 'em, them talented cockroaches.
Any of the Wiggles lost media is probably in the Australian Film and Sound archive. The archive has a staggering amount of films tv shows and music sitting in its vaults
I don't remember that Big Bear in the Big Blue House, but that blue rat from the show looks oddly familiar. It's the same blue rat that later becomes Ricky Berwick's archenemy.
Hold-up, I watched Baby Einstein when I was a kid/drooling baby, and I vividly remember seeing that pilot preview of the series somewhere in my childhood. There isnt a chance in my mind the pilot is on one of the baby Einstein dvds (which I have), but I know I've seen the ad on one of the DVDs. It's good to know why they looked so weird in that ad.
now that you say this i literally almost got rid of the baby einstein dvds i have because im moving house soon and they havent been touched in years but im gonna have to go plug in my dvd player and see if this is on the dvd because this comment unlocked a memory that seems all too similar to this.
Hey! I thought you did a great job on the video, loved it! Some people aren't aware of this but, the pictures of the pilot actually came from one of our old deleted tweets on Twitter! So happy to see that people enjoyed the little peek into the pilot! :) Anyways, keep up the good work!
As kids my little brother and I were obsessed with this Ooh and Aah flash game where you have to collect as much fruit as you can by drawing out a vine for Ooh and Aah to swing on. Instead of playing normally though, my brother and I would make the most absurd vines. All we did was make a bunch of crazy scribbles and watch the funny monke swing in place, back and forth, in circles, etc. 😆 Simpler times. 😌😌
18:53 stanley!!!!! i loved that show so much that i named my goldfish dennis as well! for being a carnival fish, he lived like 8 years and my mom, bless her heart, HATED him because she kept having to feed him
I remember Stanley! I was probably my favourite show when I was a toddler. I even remember going online and playing one of the flash games on the playhouse Disney website. My first pet goldfish was also named Dennis which was the name of the fish Stanley had as a pet.
I was surprised you didn't mention the 3 lost episodes from season 1 of Out of the Box; Let's Eat Out, The Gift, and Treasures. Every other episode is streaming on Disney+ other than those 3. It's been speculated that it could be because they were made redundant by similar episodes from season 2. However, there is very little info regarding the episodes other than their production codes air dates.
I always remembered Stanley just for the song that the dog and cat always were singing, I remember almost all openings, but in this case it was that song.
I was an avid Playhouse Disney viewer when I was little (Nick Jr. was great too, but I always preferred PD), so hearing that there’s lost media from the channel in my time is weird. I even remember Captain Carlos and the Ooh and Ah bumpers! This is probably what it felt like to be, say, a patron of the initial German uncut “Metropolis” release: Unknowingly watching something that would soon become at least partially lost for a long time (if not forever). Sidenote: I’ll 100% be a Bear in the Big Blue House Stan to the day I die ✊😌.
Here’s some more info on the “Handy Manny” pilot: - Manny's 2004-2005 design can be seen on a page of a “TV Guide” issue from August 14, 2005. This was “accidentally” leaked by Peebs on a Instagram post he made in September 2021. Manny is shown to have a “Little Einstein” pilot-esque design in my opinion. - In June 2022, 3 pieces of “Handy Manny” concept art was found. This leaked another screenshot from the 2004-2005 pilot where Manny is sitting on the couch with his tools. Manny's shown to have a Baldi's Basics-esque design in my opinion.
Bear's pilot is not lost. While I'm unable to release any footage unfortunately, I can confirm that everything in Muppet Wiki's article (which I contributed the recap and screenshots for) is real.
@@CDCB2 ugh, listen, not to be disrespectful to the who passed you that, but those people are the absolute worst and don't know the real principle of how lost material should be preserved...
