Thanks for the tip. A CV axle assembly costs about 60 bucks. Constant velocity joint. It comes out like axles by compressing the 2 joints and pounding it out from the inner spline. Possibly no need to take everything apart, just the axle nut and get the old one out and get the new one in. Not just a clinking sound when these need replacing but the sound many of us have been describing.
i noticed for around th least 9-9 days when i get up to abour 25-30 mph, tha tis when i start hearing a noise. probably grinding, and usulaly up to 45-50, also when i slow down i hear it as well. however, when i am idling. i do not hear it at all so i am not sure what it is i have a 2009 ford fusion
