I can testify to the weight. I have a 1970 Plymouth Satellite 505 stroked, 3620 lbs. at the scale. He must have a shit ton of HP. I run 11.32 @ 115 mph.
@jeepy22 id say its probably 3800 ibs or so with a BB. Mopar i THINK has always been a little heavy but has always had outstanding muscle regaurdless. It is a beautiful '70 Plymouth Roadrunner.. Any clue as to what he is runnin under the hood? And and major mods to speak of?
@gemandbrad Not sure what your trying to say ! Dont think so what ??? If this is aimed at my description, Ive seen it run 9.9 and i know dave and he has told me its 2 tons and its in street trim, i.e full interior, exhausts etc. All i can write is what the owner has told me !!
A 70 Roadrunner has a curb weight of about 3400 pounds. Plus the driver weight youre lookin at roughly 3600 pounds (if not you need to be hittin the salad bar). However, thats in full street trim. Its pretty easy to shave 200 or more pounds of useless crap out of a drag car, even swapping to aluminum heads will save tons of weight (especially on a Hemi). Theyre heavy-ish cars, but still quite a bit lighter than a new Camaro or Challenger
