Method #3 is the only one that will work. If it's a bad sensor or a bad spark plug you'll get a different code.

@@nondainc it was due to a blown flange gasket and the bolts came loose from putting the new one on

I have p0430 code on my jeep grand Cherokee 3.6 2015 but it comes and goes few days after, then suddenly shows up again Wonder what should be the problem?

Hello, usually the issue could be coming from the oxygen sensor (downstream side of the catalytic converter). But we suggest to check first the exhaust if there's any leak and fix it to see if the code will still register.

Same issue with my 14 altitude 3.6. My fuel efficiency has quite literally tanked.
