The life that flashes. That story was good but deeply depressing. I had attempted sucide before so this story hit different. I felt terrified the entire time. Anyone else feel this way? I believe this was the scariest creepy pasta I have heard yet.

Meh, I personally wasn't the biggest fan, despite being a person who has attempted myself, although more-so through self harm than a genuine attempt. I don't like the implication of su!c!de being selfish. Whether that's true or not, it's one of those common things people say that only makes the person hurting feel even worse for, well, hurting, for being su!c!dal in the first place. I got those kinds of comments from family and it quickly just made me feel terrible for hurting because me hurting and wanting the hurting to end resulted in them telling me that I was selfish for something I couldn't control and for not being able to handle the pain I was going through. (They also made it worse by saying they'd end themselves if I ever did, which again, just left me feeling guilty and much worse off. My therapist generally agrees that that message, although well-intended, is not great in terms of actually helping the person.) The story itself wasn't terrible, I just don't like the constant message of it being selfish because it, one, makes me feel like crap, even if I'm not su!c!dal now, and two, possibly hurts other people going through that. Makes things worse.

@@kiralonely1307 I can totally see that point. I believe we just have different opinions. Although I can agree with you that telling someone who has attempted or thought about attempting that it's selfish is not the best thing. ( I'm sorry that they told you that). From my mindset now I find the story terrifying. Probably because I'm happy now and the thought of me actually succeeding or getting the time to is what scares me. That's why I found it scary. Then again on the other hand i totally see your point. On the other hand i do hope your doing well now.

Oh. My. God. I had no idea anyone had narrated this, the first story, that is. I legit remember the day it came out on r/nosleep. Why? Because The commercial for that freakin' ride came on the TV maybe 10 minutes after I finished reading the damn thing. It was the best accidental spoopy feels. edited to add: I think it may have been edited slightly since it's very first iteration. Whether or not it has been, I still love it.

when hearing this story, it really reminded me of certain leyends that we have in Mexico, aparently when building a bullding or a bridge or anything thats big enough, they used to mix a body in there, a human body of course, and that was supposed to make the building strong enough to resist (i think theres also a paranormal element, the ghost will guard the structure or something like that)... there have been cases when demolishing old structures they find a body... people like to tell that this is still done to this day, but i imagine that just to scare little kids, but who knows...

I mean, there are urban legends of killers using buildings under construction to dump their kills. So that's probably where those legends come from.. Or maybe the original legends were twisted to the more macabre one that I just mentioned. Urban legends are a lot like playing Telephone, after all.

@@Shadethewolfy yeah that may very well be the case, i really don't know i have spoken with a few older people that are convinced this used to be a common practice in the old days but who knows, i just find this sort of stories very interesting.. ohh I forgot to mention this people are buried alive, and yeah it's an urban legend but supposedly it's a practice that has been done Across a few cultures since ancient times, in Mexico they are known as "emparedados" (would translate as sandwichs on English lol)

Intresting fact when u was growing up in wilmington/ Carolina Beach there was a guy that lived in a shack on for fisher his hut as far I know it's still there sweetest guy ever we used to bring him food and he would give you civil war bullets or stuff washed up on the beach would never accept for free

The story "I'm trapped in a sitcom" for some reason really ticked me off, guess I have just had the misfortune of running into a lot of very disturbed individuals, or perhaps it's my social anxiety. Was an okay story, all things considered, but did anyone else feel a bit of rage throughout that one? Just curious to see if anyone else was thinking the same, not trying to complain or critique anything. Tbh, it's a great compliment to the writer, imo, if you can make a villain so easily hated, even a bit irl.
