James good one, I retired at 45 and sold everything I had in my life in the UK and moved to live in Vietnam, everyone said I was crazy and that I would be back after a few months, how wrong they were, I looked at it as living in the UK up to age 45 was my first life and now I am going to live a second life in a different country but a country that I truly loved especially the people and the culture, now I am 60yrs old have a family and a ten-year-old son and no I am not rich but I made the best of my assets, many people can do similar things in the UK if they just stop thinking what if and cross that line that's in their head.

Bro - the fact the watching stuff like this at 17 shows you are on the right path, from 16 - 20 if you dont have a business or plan thats ok it the best time to figure yourself out experience as much as you can - graft like machine because you can do 18 hours days easy and it will fall into place. i am trying to help the young generation on you tube because i made so many mistakes - have you tried setting some goals making a plan ? - that might lead you down a certain path 🚀

Just don't be so overly focused on the women. That is the one thing this guy rails on about a bit too much. Focus on yourself, find your interests, and you'll meet a women through that. Coming from a happily married 27 year old.

Great video James. I am so grateful that I have discovered most of the things you mentioned at 22 years old, after previously sleepwalking into poor decisions such as university. I really liked your last point about mortgages, that is exactly what a rich life is for me too. Waking up and decided what I want to work and whereabouts in the world I want to be is exciting and is exactly how I want to live for the next 10+ years. Love to see your journey James!

👍 it’s a good set of dot points to refer back to. I found my passion for my job at 42/43. I’m a Registered Nurse. I start the bachelor program when I was 20. I was young, shy, very naive, nervous and quite. I got there in the end. I’m never going to be rich but I have a my home (townhouse), my animals, my health and a bigger holiday a year ( overseas , around Australia, scuba diving trips etc) catch up with friends for the weekends, smaller trips (camping, 4wding, music ( playing, seeing and listening). I didn’t trust myself or was honest with what I wanted or what I was happy doing. I started that search and my self confidence grew and I am now where I honestly believe what I wished I was when I was sitting in that nursing course 20 years ago. *** my point after rambling *** If you do have a clear vision for what you want go for it. Keep trying. There are ways to get there. My brother is better at managing people, he is more extroverted, I hate but sometimes trying things can make us find out what we like, what we don’t, what we need to work on and what we don’t. Most work or hobbies or life stuff will come up and the more you learn. It will build, confidence and skills. It wouldn’t have been easy for James to say to the 20% of clients that he didn’t want to work with them. Sometimes being uncomfortable is a good chance to see things for what they are = tired, stressed, feelings of guilt, upset, anger, frustration, physically hurt or burned out. Each time take stock of what you like, are goood, thrive. When James says in his video that sometimes something doesn’t start out as a passion (never realised that the potential for work in a particular industry or career path, is it a hobby or something that you enjoy and just want to keep for you etc) but if something comes along and you don’t mind the work, are ok with turning up, not really wanting or needing to take mental health days like in other jobs you may have worked because you like what you do and then the passion is there. My brother always knew what he wanted to do. If that you go for it.

You’re literally the big brother I always wish I had. I genuinely love you for making this content bro, you’ve been my hero for such a long time. As someone from an abusive family and cut off and alone in my 20s, you don’t understand how much I benefit from your wisdom. I love that you keep it real and you express what you are and what you think, even sometimes there’s some points I don’t agree but then I think about why you said it and then I think no, maybe I need to rethink my opinions. And I went out there to challenge it and grew. Please continue these videos - please also consider creating content specifically for younger men like me in 20s without family or direction. I genuinely believe you could have a huge impact on young 20 year olds.
