Kudos for addressing the "overweight" issue! PC culture has made it impossible to point out a simple fact: fat may be beautiful to some - that's a subjective measure - but fat is never healthy and speaks volumes about a person.

My husband sent this video to me this morning. In the text message he said "Please watch he is speaking your language" He was not lying!! I agree with EVERY last point you made!! These are things I complain about as a consumer and as a business woman!! I know sometimes people around me think I'm going overboard but you helped cement to THEM.....that I'm not!! AWESOME video!!!!

Also one more thing you should add is cussing I can't stand people who cuss and try to look cool while selling something to me it annoying so I don't do it

I used to think the nicey nice approach was the way to sell, however since watching your vids I've quickly learned that being assertive, standing tall and looking someone in the eye gives off complete confidence in your product and is the way to kick ass in business.

Studying at university, 22 years old, I lost over 5kg in a month, kg of fat, not just weight while gained a lot of muscles. I was searching for any part time jobs, even promotions, for 2 months, didnt find anything, after a month break, which I spent on the gym, changing myself, boom, in a week got a part time job. From today will work 5pm to 12 am, then will reach home by 3 am, then uni in the morning))) Going crazy) But then all I am saying is the relationship between weight, activeness and success. Thank you man :)

When I first started out in sales I was a smoker. This definitely is a turnoff for potential customers. I had a lady walk out because she said it gave her a headache. I don't smoke anymore and I can't stand smelling people who smoke now. Clammy hands and weak handshake is a turnoff for me.

I guess this is what I'll do until I finish highschool - work on myself as a person - my discipline, habits, mindset, focus, time management, etc and building the type of personality that will make a good enterpreneur. I see a lot of things I did not want to change, but I'm coming to terms with it now, hehe. Thank you for your videos, Pat! OMG! I am totally agree with you, Pat. A couple of days ago I was thinking if I was being mean for judging people in a negative way based on their weight and personal presentation. 8:30 this is absolutely right. If someone for example says that their assistant will take care of something they will not. This is just a creative brush off. The assistant will never do anything. There might not even be one.

I just spent $20,000 on my smile. It hurt financially,but it's worth it. I used to be overweight. I lost 40 lbs. I carried my weight well. But, my new relationships with people have improved greatly. He's 100% right. This stuff is WAY easier said than done. But you should do it. Thanks Pat!

I thought I was the only one who was completely turned off by cigarette smoke. I grew up with that shit - both parents smoked a pack a day. Can't stand that shit as an adult.

That's right. Being overweight affects your business. At the beginning of the pandemic I was 480#s. Now I'm 380#s. My energy has improved and increased. Don't get me wrong, I am 6'8.5" but a loss of 100#s makes a difference. Confidence plays a big part in this.

So Pat, you are saying that our weight is important because it conveys our own discipline as well our judgment, therefore we must project that ability to care for everyone around us, starting with ourselves?

Hello Patrick, I watched this over a year ago and took what you said. I can now say that I do not smoke cigarettes anymore, I realized that it's not what I needed to do. I have quit for almost a year now. And do not intend on going back. I am on a quest to become like you and all the other entrepreneurs out there who help people. You are right on the money about the weight. Even I don't like myself or my performance when I am 10 pounds heavier. It also affects my mood. I like to be light on my feet, full of energy, and confident. Not too many superstar sales people are "heavy weights"........

I love pat. He recently became my favorite mentor. All of these other "mentors" on youtube are scam and con artist and just want to sell you something, but Pat just tells you great straight up honest advice/tips. Keep it up!

You at also incorrect about the weight. I had gastric bypass surgery and suffer from major depressive disorder and it has been treatment resistant until we found a combo of 2 meds that took away the depression. I gained 100 pounds did not change my eating routine because I can't overeat because of the gastric bypass. I just started a new med and have lost 18 pounds. I know people prejudge both my husband and myself. But we just hold our heads high work hard and both work in sales. I earned 5 free cars in one business, he is starting to earn more than he has in years. But we still do not have the money for his teeth work. From the car wreck I have to have 3 implants, insurance pays nothing, 4 crowns on front teeth. Insurance pays for 2. We are 53 and 54. A major health crisis like the cancer I had and him being downsized from a Bell South job at the same time and then I had a surgery that has only been performed one time. Emergency surgery I almost died. You talk about medical bills. Thanks for hearing me out. I understand and like your video but I just hate that I know people like you are judging me and my husband. But the best we can do is take one step forward a day. Our 19 year old daughter needs braces on her teeth. And we all need glasses. Its one thing after another. But I can tell you even though I probably could get disability I don't. I have continued to work through everything because had too. I sure wish you would contact me. 256-452-8948 I just want to know that I'm heard.

I have made some really strong sales with people that smoke. You have to consider your audience. It is also a good ice breaker.

They eat total crap and consume alot of alcohol. I report to these men ( security business) . Working towards being self employed....again. Use your channel immensely.

Gotta be honest. I'm about 20 lbs overweight. This is the first time I've heard it broken down like this. I want to work more hours, but I find myself tiring out by 5-6pm. Usually I push through, but I notice the loss of productivity. I didn't think about how much my state of fitness contributes. Thanks, Pat. Let me add this. If you are a smoker and are in sales, make sure you don't smoke an hour before any meeting. Carry gum in your car. As well make sure you wash your hands and outside your mouth after every cigarette. This will dramatically improve people's perception of you. People will still be able to smell you, but the smell won't be nearly as overpowering.

May I add, when it comes to weight issues and the lacking of discipline, which I totally agree with you on this subject, but speaking as a thin guy, when I eat irresponsibly and I allow my body to be super toxic to the point I am dragging butt just to make it to the end of the day also tells me that I lack discipline. That part about weight? Damn true. I experienced the same thing before when I was 300 lbs. Good thing my brother pushed me a year ago to start working out. Proper blood flow is key to maximizing your daily energy. I start to feel sick if I don't workout for two days straight. To think I'm only 26 years old.
