Use the rubbing alcohol in a spray bottle to clean glass, chrome and windows. It works so good. I clean my sunglasses and eye glasses with rubbing alcohol. You can also use it to sanitize and clean your cell and house phone, remote controls, door knobs, places people touch all the time. I just do like you. Tip from a plumber, regarding urine smell on toilets: Undo the bolt covers to reveal a nasty buildup of dried urine. That's what makes it stink, even after everything else is clean. I use white vinegar for mirrors, windows and getting rid of limescale in the sink. I also add half a cup to my laundry, descaled the washing machine, stops odours buildings in the machine and sanitises the clothing. I use baking soda and water paste to clean greasy ovens, pots &pans and you can leave it on then come back and spray with vinegar and wipe off. No chemical smell or taste on food after cleaning the oven! Strong, natural cleaning for pennies! Just use gloves to protect your hands. You can also use baking soda and lemon juice in an open jar to suck up fridge smells or tobacco smells in the car 😊 if you hate the vinegar smell just add an essential oil.

I wondered about this, too, because toothpaste contains fluoride, which is a very reactive chemical and I would not consider it safe for all stones. When I Googled it, the first site I found was a jeweler showing how diatoms (very hard bits of ancient sea creature) in toothpaste scratch the finish of polished gold. Great hacks! I use baking soda and white vinegar for loads of things. As for the jewellery cleaning, just be aware that some gemstones are porous or semi porous so best to check online first to see if your gems fall into these categories. Hope that helps! 🌹

Spray furniture polish on your foxtail duster & it picks up dust/ cobwebs quickly around the ceiling & especially the harder to reach places (tops of door frames, tops of hanging picture frames). When it gets dusty, give it a good shake outside & spray again. A cleaning lady taught me this & it works great for me :)

I use baking soda on my stainless steel stovetop and sink, works link a charm! It also works great on the outside of pots and pans to get that cooked on gunk off. I actually buy the 13.5 lb bag of baking soda at Costco and it lasts me about six months. And toothpaste (white Colgate) and an old toothbrush does an amazing job on jewelry. I tried baking soda and vinegar on my grout and had a heck of a time removing the baking soda residue 😢 I have to agree with you on the coconut water 🤮. I can manage green tea as long as it's flavored (peach, mango, etc).

Laundry tip: don't use fabric softener. I haven't used it in years and haven't missed it. I don't use dryer balls or any alternative. We wear natural fibers, which may be why we don't need softeners. (When I learned that microfibre, polyester, fleece, etc contribute to ocean plastic, we quit buying those fabrics.)

I saw a u tube video Dr bronners about adding castile soap to the baking soda then the vinegar .The vinegar reacts with the soap and not so much the baking soda. The baking soda is a base (alkaline) and the vinegar is a acid they neutralize each other which is why they dont work. It makes a nice chemical reaction but doesnt clean. Thats why it never worked for cleaning out my drains. I learned something new.
