Yes, and sadly no other competitions in same level or above making him think "I am wrestling" so whatever he think is definitions of wrestling. So its just presonal preferences. Shame AEW, NJPW, ROH collabs happens way too late. They all should happen in 2010 or 2015. Now vince retired, some talented wrestlers at the time retired, legends retired, dream matches gone one by one, lets hope AEW gone bigger and actually the same level to WWE, NJPW actually reach global mainstream media, Impact revived somehow, or theres new wrestling promotions rise up. If WWE still at the top, wrestling products and talented wrestlers will be wasted and stale.

Race has said in interviews that he regrets inventing the diving headbutt and making it popular. He's fully aware of the number of wrestlers that have had neck injuries and concussions because of the move and feels entirely responsible. Also, to me, the leg drop is one of those moves that just makes me cringe. You ever slip on ice and fall on your butt? It hurts really bad, feels sore for days. Why anyone would ever purposefully do that themselves is beyond me.
@GarethDragon

I occasionally did the leg drop whilst training. the ring really breaks most of the fall, but it never feels good nor "right", it's just an easy move to do and it's a nice way to pad the match, though I definitely remembered Holgan almost every time I did it. imo, the elbow drop (a more preferable alternative) is deceptively complex to do because it REALLY needs expression to work well and look good

Some of the finishers that I guessed were on the list including the tombstone piledriver. What made this video more interesting was that it spoke more about the moves that the wrestlers gave rather than took. This reminded of when I met the late Davey Boy Smith in 1995 after Summer Slam. We were talking and then I asked him how he responded when people asked him about wrestling being fake. He said, “I tell them, ‘Get in the ring with me and I’ll show you how fake it is.’” This video definitely confirms what he said. It also does the same for what Mick Foley said regarding his thoughts about banning the German suplex.

I feel like what no one is bringing up is that a lot of these moves are "career shorting"because of WWE's schedule. Yes all these moves on this list are dangerous but so is it kick to the face if done wrong (Look what happened to CM Punk).They're on the road 300+ days a year with no brakes in between of course the body is going to get destroyed.Look at MLW for example they're touring schedule is really short, they have a season finale which leads to improvement and most importantly their wrestlers get rest to heal injuries regardless if their major or minor. If WWE were to do that I guarantee you a lot of these injuries would not be happening.

In all of these cases the grueling schedule is as much or more of a problem than the move itself. You won't cause irreparable damage if you fall on your knees or endure an impact to the neck one, two, five, ten times. But when you have to do it 3 times a week, 200 times a month, 1000 times a year, it's inevitable. So either they are allowed more reasonable schedules and they can offer their best in each occasion, or they accept that with this schedule the wrestlers will have to limit what they do and use many moves very sparingly if at all.

I think it's chad gable who does the flying head butt and I hate it. I honestly thought that move was banned.

You're correct,@@NotAdultingToday . Lamia put that in the "Downright Ugly", recap of the show.

the issue with the wear and tear argument isn't really against the move in my opinion if we look at it objectively. let's say I took about three to five German suplexes in a match now if you repeat that 5 to 6 days a week and do it for years much like a leg drop or knee drop then naturally it's gonna add up let's put it this way if you take five Germans in a match five days a week that's 1260 German suplexes a year and not including the wear of other moves that specifically impact the shoulder like a German suplex does(that's how it is done mostly as the safest option with an arch for the pin to add flair). it all adds up. the issue is wwe's touring schedule as they need breaks and rest. that's why you see much more riskier moves in new Japan as they're touring schedules and pay per views(or is it all network nowadays like a streaming service) isn't as numerous although the matches ate much much more physical and demanding. AEW hits the middle ground with touring and pay per views without being as demanding usually

Almost positive that there are more moves than just those 9 that shorten careers.

I have been watching AJ for awhile(not really in TNA once they switched to the BS 6 sided ring). I have never seen him do the spiral tap. He also is starting get flack the style clash calling it unsafe.

even late into his impact career, AJ hardly if ever used the Spiral Tap, that announcers never referenced the move.

Well if you do the leg drop as many times in one year as Hogan did you know there would be problems

I think 🤔 "the Moonsault" is #1? Sometimes, the performer doesn't see where he's landing & might end up on an empty canvas. I used to believe this stuff was fake, but now I know it's real. Stay safe guys/gals!!!
