Three people were shot and killed in Orlando on Wednesday, including a local journalist and a 9-year-old girl. Police say they have the suspect in custody. CBS2's Dick Brennan reports.

What is truly disgusting is knowing that law makers who could do their best for mental health, gun reform,etc., don’t do anything. This makes me believe that tragedies like this are somehow acceptable to them. Breaks my heart and am so sorry for their loved ones

Can you please say what should happen to those who kill others? Seriously, I do want to know how you think it should be done. I don’t think there should ever be plea deals for anything. It’s not so much the guns I don’t think….it’s the people who use them. We have drug addicts and alcoholics who use and drink. There’s way to much leniency with a lot of these people….they do not take accountability for themselves and what they do. How are they supposed to be stopped? This world now is just one huge pot of messed-up…..you’ve got kids who don’t know if they’re male or female or neither one….you got kids 6-12 killing people. When I was growing up there were guns in the house but all we needed to be told was “do not touch the guns” and we didn’t. You got kids afraid to go to school cause they’re afraid of some shooter coming in and killing them. There’s so many kids being born to drug addicted parents or severe alcoholic parents and ending up with hardly anyone taking care of them….mom and dad certainty don’t care enough to do the work to get clean….and a lot of times they don’t know how to be a parent cause they were brought up the same way. So many do not take responsibility for what they do…it’s always someone else’s fault….unless you’re lucky enough you come across a parent wanting and willing to do the work….and there are dads who will try and get better for their child. The world is a screwed up place right now….more so than I’ve ever seen it…and I’m almost 71. It’s sad…there’s so much hatred from so many. Things are so expensive it’s hard for many to make it for themselves or their families. The song said it best “ it’s a mad mad world”. If you have the answer please let people know so perhaps things will start getting better. Thank you
It's all about mental health that under the people that lots of problems like these people are there. Period had helped to go somewhere where they can get help. Now with the government took that out to their current year. Fat pockets esthetic these people like back in the day this is what you get. Period people need to get health and the government consists. Back in the day mental health is something good and the government would help people have problems like this don't discUber it's not helping people. Cars and houses.
