I hear a lot of drivers say “ I’ll never let my kids grow up and drive truck”. Just shows they ain’t in it for the passion. Nice to see you do and you lighting that fire in your boy. I know I would have liked to have had that knowledge at his age 🤙🏼

Right? Show them your passion, and let them decide if its for them. When I have a little me, I want to hang out this same way, and if they want to follow, cool. If not, hopefully they pick up something constructive out of the time spent together.

Yea but at the same time u like eating dinner everyday in ur truck on FaceTime. With ur family. I don’t want my kids to miss out on those memories. A lot of us do this so we can make a better life for our family because our families didn’t do that for us.

Watching Braxton brings back some good memories of driving my dad's truck and my Uncle Junebug's truck when I was about his age. I've been fighting a steering wheel 25 years now and my dad and uncle have both passed on. I thank God everyday that I have those memories. I also thank God that I got a to show them that they taught me well before they were gone. You're doing a helluva job of making a good hardworking man out of Braxton. You can see it in him already

Tim thanks for letting us ride with you on this run. Trucking looks like it’s really hard work. I appreciate you for your job, because I believe that truckers are the backbone of this country. You keep everything that we need moving from one end of the country to the other. And I respect truckers when I see you on the highway. I had a cousin who drove trucks for a living, and I always remember he said whenever you see a trucker coming and he seems like he’s in a hurry move over and get out of his way. I hate to see how some cars will just sit in front of a truck and not move over. Or when they cut a truck off suddenly. They act like a truck can just stop on a dime. And I see that you’re teaching your son the correct way to drive, my hat off to you for being such a great dad. That’s something that he will remember and always cherish. We need more dads in the world like you. This is my first time seeing your channel, I found it by accident and I love it. You have a new subbie here. Keep up the good work.

He will remember that for life. My dad had an old butterfly hood IH loadstar dump truck years ago. He never let me drive it because we lived on a huge hill and that truck didn’t have brakes until the day before it was sold. He did however let me start it up and dump the water out of the bed when it would sit for a while. I loved revving it and feeling the entire truck rock when that 345 roared.

I was about Braxton’s age when I first started driving on the ranch. We had a 37 Mack open cab (never designed with doors). It was probably a 2 ton truck.it was used for everything from hauling machinery and hay bales to putting rack sides on and hauling vealers to the slaughterhouse. I got my first legal drivers license at 14 , called a (farm to market) restricted license. I drove everything there was to drive. This experience served me well in the future. Good luck Braxton keep pushing for more 👍😝

Not only is he helping foster the next generation of trucker, he's getting him started in livestock. Let me just be clear. Those drivers hauling cattle that know what they're doing, make it look easy. I got my first taste of it years ago, and it ain't no joke. Trucking's the easy part. Maintaining that trailer and keeping track/taking care of those animals is another full time job stacked on top of driving. Once again, props to getting his son in on the action, and also teaching him one avenue of trucking that most drivers won't go anywhere near.

Clean outs up here in Canada can suck in winter time, especially when its minus 40, and 50 and driver hasn't cleaned out as much as he should have. Being up to your nees in poop and then having to reach in to your shoulders to reach the clean out traps. Its a young man's job. I know I’m late to this video, but this brought back a rush of emotions with my dad. I dreamed of driving a truck when I was little and my dad always said “I don’t care what you do, as long as you don’t drive a truck”. So I didn’t. Some days a dream about, but I’m very happy that he told me not too. I see the ups and downs and remember him missing a lot. I now work as an a&p mechanic and I love everything I do!

I see my form in your son back in the days when I used to go with my father on his truck rides when I was on vacation from school, but my father gave me no opportunity to learn how to drive a truck in practice. as strange as it sounds, I have the insight to reverse into parking with every vehicle in 1 go. I only have to practice reversing the vehicle once and it is registered in my memory regardless of the weather conditions. my current work is high quality safety people and environment to take into account the scope of the work. so yes, your son is the real deal next gen Gentry. Dré out.
