Such a brilliant video. Have not seen such precise knowledge being given out on Indian youtube. My way to thanks you guys. Keep making more informative videos like these and I hope when the channel grows , you will always speak your mind freely and never get influenced by brands. My notes for the video - AMT good for city but very very bad for hills and bad for highways CVT good for cities, will be a difficult ride in hills if your engine is not powerful enough. not for sudden overtake CVT and AMT is recommended for city drive only. For hills, best is torque convertor but gives less mileage. This tech is reliable. This is very good in city driving. The initial pull is very good. DCT is a very advanced technology and is best for highways. Manual is fine for all scenario. If your run is less in city and more in highway, then you should go for manual. Final thoughts - If you city usage is very high, then go for AMT or CVT. Go for naturally aspirated engine and not Turbo engine. If city to highway usage is 50:50, go for Torque convertor or a good CVT. If majority run is highway and you want automatic, go for DCT. If you live in hills, go for Torque convertor. And final recommendation is that if you can afford automatic, you should go for automatic. Driving an automatic car is much safer than driving a manual car because there is no need to control gear and your whole focus in on steering and the road. Cheers!! Happy Driving.
not getting words how to praise. sach main Gurudev aap ne jitna detailed writing information diya hai, a big...big... Thanks to you. what a lovely approach... & hope aap ka ye prayas a'age bhi jari rahe...
I am planning to buy elevate zx. My mostly use is in city. We go occasionally on highways and in mountain areas. Is my decision of buying elevate is appropriate?
Sir mai new suv ka planing kr rha hun or hmara uses pahadi plus city plus highway pr hota hi h daily ka business hi aisa h or mai jharkhand jamshedpur se hun sir plz btaye kon sa gearbox le????
Hi, You both are amazing and very true to facts. My driving is in Pinjore to Parwanoo Himachal on daily basis. The route is conjusted and hilly with narrow roads. In a Month 2 to 4 times travel in Mountains from Pinjore to Solan. In a Month Highway travel to Rewari and Narnaul Haryana. I am inclined to Elevate and need advise on either Manual or CVT. Budget is Max 15 lacs if stretched fully otherwise 13 lacs is optimum. 2nd option is Hyryder. 3rd option is Brezza. Please share your comments on this and give your expert opinion. Thanks
Virtus GT plus will be delivered to me in Jan 24. Can you advice how should I drive DCT gear in stop and go traffic to avoid clutch erosion. Should I drive in manual mode or sport mode to avoid frequent clutch engagement and disengagement.
Babut bariya meh toh aaj dekh raha huh video, jara ek baat batana bhaya, fortuner legender 4x4 high hill par chala sakte hai, Lena sahi hai second hand.
Thisvis such a brilliant video. I can tell you that before buying my new I considered all these facts about cvt/tc/dsg by talking to auto sales guys. But here just in one video so much information is given that makes it easy for people to decide which car they want to buy. You are allowing so value back to people who are spending lakhs of hard earned on cars. Kudos to you both

Hi Daksh & Navneet..Thanks so much for this informative video.Kindly guide about Ciaz 2018 Torque Converter. Is it reliable as Honda/Toyota..pls comment!
I am confused b/w Seltos HTX IVT vs Grand Vitara Alpha AT both available at almost the same price. I loved the interiors of Seltos, however didn't enjoy the performance due to CVT lag. From looks I like Seltos. My monthly drive is around 1000 km. Entirely within Delhi NCR. Need your recommendation for the same. Space in both cars is ok for me. Also. GV AT is not available for test drive so haven't tested driving of GV
I have booked honda elivate. driving ratio is 50.50 city and highway.my age is 63 should I prefer to cvt ? Some one says that due to its higest ground clearance elevate is not safe. please suggest me the best.
Nice video sir...!! Fully agree with you automatic transmission is future even if you buy a Ic engine vehicle or electric vehicle...!! But I want to lined up few mor things about AMT gear box.. though it has sume issues but AMT is most affordable, least maintenance & most pro mileage transmission among all automatics.
Bhai dono baap bete cha gaye ho or me starting se follow karta hu or aapke saare vlogs very detailed hote he or aise hi post karte raho or tarrakki karo really appriciate your help and support and here i have doubt ki Chalo le to le CVT pr fir CVT Hills mountains pr sahi se chalegi ? or manual le to fir wahi he city me problem hogi.To karey kya bhai ?
Please suggest between Nexon DCA and Manual Transmission. 70% City 30% Highway , monthly 1000km. Used Celerio AMT for 6 years, didn't like driving at all and at 24k kms AMT failed so since NEXON DCA is not tested I'm worried about reliability of DCA.
You seems to me very knowledgeable person s. Please tell me about some small ( 5/6 seater) Family Jet Plane. I have heard Honda manufacture such Jet. May you please help me in this matter ?
Drove my Duster AMT in steep Himachal mountain roads for 2+ years - no issues at all. Transmission alone cant determine utility in hills - engine's torque, hill start assist etc matter
sir ji bas ye batado maine half payment kar di hai elebvate ki mereko on road 19 ke pad rahi hai lena sense hai mai ek small family wala hu koi fast nahi chalani
Meri wagon r amt highway pe itna pareshan karta hai jab sudden acceleration deta hoon rapidly speed gain karne ke liye. Ab to aadat ho gayi but sudden overtaking to bilkul possible nahin kyunki 3 to 4 seconds lagtey hain usko speed gain karne ko. martey martey bachaa hoon ek baar to. AMT sirf city drive ko hai.
Sir ji mere pass tho Hyundai i20 ivt cvt haie automatic mane pahado maie chaliye haie koie problem nhie huwa highway pe bhi koie problem nhie huwa or koie lage bhi nhie aata haie
All automatic can runs on manual mode.......even amt acts quick like an manual gearbox in manual mode....also convenient in city and hills....coz of no clutch
I want to take car for first time my city usage will be more but i want to go from UP to jharkhand for time to time which will include highway travel...so which car under 10 lacs will be gd for city n highways both ... also automatic or manual
the video didn't cover the explanation for not buying the DCT , the DCt is costly to repair and has frequent heating problems in city bumper to bumper, and also on the mountains
Bahut badhiya examples diya daksh bhai.....agar koi highway pe overtake kare to khoon nahi khaulta 😂😂 unke liye cvt theek hai 😂😂 Very informative and clear cut video. Bahut logon ke decisionmaking mein help hogi. Even manual vs automatic ka choice clear kar ke bataya. One can follow father son duos advise blindfolded. All aspects superbly covered. 👏👏 Abhi yaad aaya...ek aspect chor diya aapne. Mileage wise and Maintainance/ Repair wise kaun sa automatic kaisa hai. Minor point for consideration.
Thanks for the informative video. You could have focused on the reliability of various gearbox technologies. For example, manual gearbox is the most reliable. Among various kind of automatic, the torque converter is the most reliable. Presently in Indian market, the DCT/DSG are the most unreliable. The sad part is, the workshop technicians are still struggling to learn the understand the technology of DCT/DSG gearbox. For example, changing the clutch packs of a DCT/DSG gearbox is an art. Any mechanically sound technician could change the clutch pack without any hassle. The real fun is afterwards: The gearbox needs to be tuned called "Learning" of TCU (Transmission Control Unit). This part is very tricky and proper training is lacking among workshop technicians. Besides this, changing clutch packs in DCT costs a lot, much higher than changing the dry clutch set of manual gearbox. From this perspective, the torque converter based automatic gearbox are cheaper to maintain. Just keep on changing the ATF (Automatic Transmission Fluid), although it is still costlier than changing the clutch set of manual gearbox. This is because ATF is costly and a lot of amount (typically 5 litre) is required.
Bhai...I got Taigun 1.5 GT Plus Manual 10 days back. No regrets. Just yesterday only issue I saw was bumper to bumper traffic in Shimla on incline. Rest I will prefer manual any day.
I have been using Tiago AMT for 4 years. Drove brezza AT for 2K. Now If I want to purchase a new car I will buy an XUV300 diesel manual and will convert it to IMT using an aftermarket kit. It will be a win win situation for car enthusiasts like me.
