if you select photo mode , then go into menu you get the photo options which are different to the video options, likewise if your on playback mode , you also get other options in menu ... did you know you can also use it with a pc by plugging it is via usb to pc .. works good , also if you have windows 10 you can connect to your large 50" tv ....

Hi, nice video. Did you try to connect the usb to a computer? I saw some reviews pointing that you can broadcast the microscope output to a larger monitor?

I was wondering about the specifics of the battery type so that I could order it ahead of time?

I just shot a video of me installing a battery on this thing! It is a li-ion battery, if you get creative a single 18650 will fit, but a flat 3.7V battery with a size of 6cm by 4cm will fit

As you're able to see in my video, you'll need to format the SD card first, using the microscope itself. Then you'll be able to capture a video/photo using the OK button once you are in the right mode

put sd card in , and press the "OK" button , when your in Video or Photo Mode , Dont forget to set options up in menu lots to choose from

I have a question hopefully you will respond: Do you think this microscope has a great enough magnification to inspect the edge of a straight razor or a knife? Edit: Also, dikke BMW

Yes it does! 1200 optical zoom and I think 40 times digital zoom! Hou m tegen, hou m tegen!

@@TimsElectronicsLab I think it's not really 1200 because i've seen pictures from a real expensive microscope with around 930x optical zoom and you can see the apex of the edge there. I believe someone said this microscope could do 100x max he measured a ruler in milimeters and then measured the lcd screen to get the real magnification.. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-rVvXQPovwOA.html

photos of this one are horrible, at best less than 1 megapixel not 12, shame,

Well, mine are not so bad actually, or I just lowered my expectations without being concious about it

@@TimsElectronicsLab how many megabytes are your photos at best, I got 1.07 couple of times. 12 mebapixles as they ckaim should yield 12 megabytes photos. Also, the fact you can't control the cameras manually makes it a terrible too, to photograph small things for detail.

I do get 12MP. The photos that I took have a resolution of 4032x3024, which equals 12,195,768 pixels (~12MP). Honestly speaking, I haven't played too much with custom ISO settings and all the other options

@@TimsElectronicsLab I'm shocked, I did everything I could and still get horrible images, it seems the factory that makes them and sells them to distributors does not make all units equal although the packaging is identical and the claims..... thieves!!!

Oh wow! If I was you I'd request a refund from AliExpress. This is unacceptable even for Chinese products
