The story behind the live action Super Mario Bros. movie is more interesting than the movie itself, with frustrated and drunk actors, constantly changing scripts, and enough drama to fill a documentary.
Joey is gonna regret everything later on in life if they don't just drink water like that instead. Anyway that super soaker 100 commercial is HANDS DOWN the absolute best water soaker commercial I've ever seen. Usually I think those are just ridiculous in a dumb bad way but no this one is awesome! Yes. Win! Get. Her. Justice!
I had the super soaker 50, 100, and 200. I rarely used the latter cause it was kinda heavy and i was a slightly out shape kid lol. I also had those gliders.
I think the first and only Super Soaker I got was the 50. That pool party commercial seemed to be the signature one. When that came along, it completely revolutionized water guns. They had either been little "squirt guns," or battery-powered to provide just a bit more kick but still nothing compared to what a Super Soaker could put out. It seems so simple in retrospect. The inventor, Lonnie Johnson, is on a mural in his hometown of Mobile, Alabama, and it does indeed feature a Super Soaker. "Welcome Freshman" had a really rocking opening theme song. I knew that "Super Mario Brothers" movie was going to be odd but went to see it anyway. I'm sure I never saw it again. There's that blonde kid in the McDonald's commercial. I always forget his name.
I saw the Super Mario Bros. movie probably on THIS night. I did miss SNICK but it was a worthy sacrifice. I would agree with the Rolling Rock ads being local inserts with them paired up with Canal Jean Co. and NY1 ads. No way these would be airing on Nickelodeon. But when they said it was time for F Troop I'd be changing the channel on Saturday nights too!
Life With Mikey-kind of makes you wonder if Eric Stolz was originally going to play the lead role in this too😂 Welcome Freshmen-surprised Nickelodeon hasn't attempted to revive/reboot this Super Mario Bros-sorry to disagree with John Leguizamo, but the CG Chris Pratt movie > the live action one 10-K-a.k.a Gatorade from Wish MTV Movie Awards-i think Cruel Intentions won the Best Kiss award Rolling Rock-R & S probably had quite a few cases of this at home Corinthian Foundation-they don't make leather McDonald's-these kids should've had a show of their own,V.S.H Canal Jean Co.- with Maitland Ward(..?) Krystal Princess-sounds as if she might be a character in a Mario game
10-K- From the looks of this commercial, I would say that this product is like a poor man’s version of Gatorade. Zoom Ball- Watching those kids play with the Zoom Balls throughout the commercial, I expected the strings that the kids were holding to get tangled at any given moment. Milk- I like Milk, but I don’t think I like it THAT much to go through all those instances that the kid describes that he would go through to get it. He certainly has an obsession with Milk.
I'm one of the few people probably in the world that actually likes the 1993 super Mario Bros movie, but then I also like the movie Wizard. Some of the stuff that was cut from the 93 super Mario Bros movie probably shouldn't have been because some of it actually makes the plot of the movie make more sense.
My bad experience of seeing "Super Mario Bros." (1993) has haunt me, even 30 years later! Thank goodness for "The Super Mario Bros. Movie" (2023) that could wipe my memories of that tripe! At least the CGI Animated Feature has follow character development, fascinating story and totally respects both the games and the source material! Plus, Bowser singing "Peaches!" Better than "Trust the Fungus!"
