Some of the actors were attached to the roles at one point. Sandra, Nicholas and Leonardo. Wizard Magazine had Willem for Joker, Alec as Batman & while John wasn't cast as Lex Luthor; he was chosen as Ra's al Ghul. Stellar casting all around.

As much as I love Brendan Fraser in movies, the perfect Shazam for late 90's/early 2000's would've been Brandon Molale. Dude looks like he fell right out of an Alex Ross painting of Captain Marvel, and he was petitioning to play the part long before The Rock ever did. Frasier would've made a great Hawkman, though. He probably would've made a good Flash, too - with short, lightened hair he looked way more like Barry Allen then Ezra Miller ever did.

I would reverse the Cary Grant and Gregory Peck thing, myself. Especially considering that Gregory Peck was a character study when Alex Ross was coming up with the look of his Batman/Bruce Wayne in Kingdom Come. And Cary Grant was Christopher Reeves' inspiration for his portrayal of Clark Kent.

Christopher Lee and Malkovich are the most spot on. They would have kicked everything up several notches. Especially crossover. Luthor appearing at Wayne's door and either denied entry by Alfred, or trading highbrow barbs in the foyer while waiting for Wayne to appear.

*Sweet!!! This is perfection.* You've got to so make a *90s X-Men teaser trailer* next. I agree with many other's ideas and opinions, use Paul Gross as Cyclops, Mel Gibson as Wolverine, Nicole Kidman as Jean Grey, Sandra Bullock as Rogue. And Ted Danson as Gambit... Ted would have been perfect around that time in all of the 90s, he would have nailed that role easily with his many talented accents... the Cajun accent, height, long cool dude hair and rugged chad presence... please, watch his 1994 movie Getting Even With Dad. 😉 Also, Sandra Bullock as Rogue. With her talents and looks, she too can so easily do the southern accents, remember her great movie The Blind Side? Lucy Liu as Jubilee. Ralph Finnes as Nightcrawler, Daniel Day-Lewis as Colossus. Ever since the Barry Allen references in Catch Me If You Can..I’ve thought of the great Leonardo DiCaprio as The Flash! This video is fantastic. I’ve never loved the Cage Superman but wow…..it would be amazing to see Sarah Michelle, Uma and Winona on screen together in those suits!

Brendan Fraser as Shazam and Willem Dafoe as Joker is perfect. Batman and Superman, not so much. And Brittany Murphy would've been the ultimate 90s Harley Quinn.

Brendan Fraser would have made an excellent Superman, a sentiment I have held since watching him in The Mummy. Regarding Alec Baldwin as Batman, he would undoubtedly embody an ideal Bruce Wayne. It's surprising that this has not been widely recognized before.

Alec Baldwin played the Shadow, one of the main inspirations for Batman, in the 1990s, so it isn't that much of a stretch. Also, I am definitely down with Christopher Lee as Alfred and Willem Dafoe as the Joker.
