I'm tired of hearing "nigga" and "bitch" in almost every second word of hip-hop songs, and also shitty lyrics about how much money someone has or how they got one up on their "haters". It's self indulgent bullshit that's saturated the genre and bored the tits off me for years. It was fine back when NWA or Public enemy were doing it, but it's old hat now. I want to hear about stories and personal experiences that mean something. I really dig this mix becasue they seems to be saying something and I really like the more low-fi production.

This is why I strayed far away from hip hop since my teens. Glad to be tuning into this, reconciled with hip hop. The mainstream shit clouds the good stuff too much. Pity.
