LS fanboy here, but will give credit where it's due. 1UZ's are definitely hidden gems. Plus this one looks, and sounds, like an absolute weapon. Love it!

The sound of that 1UZ is INSANE . Gotta luv Toyota fir the technology they’ve gifted the world .

Change the 671 to an 871, not only because its slightly bigger, but they spin more freely, meaning they take less engine to turn them, less pressure on the crank & resulting in more power/torque produced. Love this concept though & clearly does its job. Nice to see someone thinking outside the box instead of just another turbo or procharged LS

Using the wrong parts, and making it work, that's hot rodding.....call it a drift car if you want. I love the look, and people underestimate the benefits of torque...

Perfect for drift- instant torque! I don't know why more people don't use roots blowers or Whipples

Love the sound of this weapon! Such a sick setup, I love the sound of a turbo 6 or even 4 as much as the next person, but theres something about a screaming v8 thats intoxicating

Think they wanted throttle control? Perfect control everywhere, all the time. Turbos might make bigger power, but precision driving is much easier with a super.

Absolutely love the originality. Pretty tired of LS everything. I always loved the 1UZ. I often refer to it as the Japanese LS. Not sure what it took to build this particular one to withstand this punishment but fantastic work. Aloha

This is killer. 1Uz has been known in the tuner market for awhile. He has gone bonkers doing this. It would be nice if Audi would bring out their DTM car with a V8 that is 11,500 RPM redline engine to put up with this car. Keep up the great work

Why go with a big roots style 6-71 blower instead of a much smaller, more modern twin screw? Even a more modern roots style like an Eaton TVS would have made the same power levels. Was it just because it looks cool? Seems like it made life much harder than it had to be.

Popular demand they are making big heat exchanger plates for those now. Straight water injection in the top will improve efficiency and drop temps. There's a research paper out there recently where they injected straight water at multiple rates graphed up to 150% of fuel injected rate! Equivalent of raising octane 13 points , insane knock reduction but you need a huge tank LOL. RENO air races twin turbo Lancair runs a 55 gallon water tank in the passenger seat.

What people dont realize is the IUZ was put into planes with twin turbos on it! Theyre so reliable even turboed, they trust them in a plane.

Because roots blowers, screw blowers, sutututut, beautiful machines and immense dedication and hardwork equals forumla 1 V10 engines in A90 supras and 1UZ engines howling through ITBs amd superchargers. There may be some widespread hate(if it isnt just intense propoganda these days) but hot damn the wildy different stylistic modifications people can still uniquely achieve are the sign humanity hasnt chosen outright dystopia.... Yet.

I have a 1uzfe right now, looking into a supercharger and getting it ported and polished, and possibly dropping it into either a 370z or 240sx

the motor setup looks like some kids hotwheels idea & then some engineer took it & made it actually work in the real world lol You just dont see roots blowers in drifting, like EVER!

900hp and probably close to that in torque... cheers mate that must be a fuckin blast to drive

Twin turbo on 1UZ would create lover gravity with some turbos that produce 900 hp, from 3K rpm to 5K to have biggest power in medium range of rpm availability.
