The 1.6gpf cadet really surprised me. It really outperforms my 3.5gpf cadet. 1985 cadet 6/10 1995 cadet 2 spacesaver 9/10 By the way this is just the overall ratings from the test I did.
It seems like your 3,5 Cadet isn’t in good flushing condition. Nevertheless good tests! Front flushers are the best performing low flow toilets in my opinion, there’s some really good ones out there
The white one on the right hand side, I believe it’s the 1985 cadet performed OK, but I think it has minerals which explains its struggle taking the washcloth and bag. All-in-all it performed around the same with the other cadet.
The 1985 Cadet should be a great toilet, but this one is defective, maybe there's something wrong with the siphon jet or the trapway. I'm impressed with the Cadet 2, I didn't think that its ridiculously small trapway could hold even a wad of toilet paper.
