I’m very happy that not only did Cleveland/Akron, OH (my local area) make it to #19, but that it basically beat every other area in the state. That’s why Northeast Ohio is Best Ohio.
The station at 8:02, in September 1993, began using a logo that was introduced by German broadcast station RTL II at its launch in March 1993. The logo had to be withdrawn by RTL II in April 1996 as part of a settlement, and KGAN was allowed to retain the logo, which was ultimately withdraw at the end of the 2003-04 season.
12:55 is my area, WVTV is now a CW affiliate. They brought back the "Super 18" logo for a little bit a few years ago, but with revitalized font and everything.

WGBC is radiotvphononut's local station. KELO is Oddity Archive's current CBS station, and KCNC was his previous CBS station. He moved to Sioux Falls, SD a couple of years ago.
2:48 is my market. I remember passing by the WICZ-TV studios and they still had a sign with that 40 design, even after they changed their logo years later. Probably money problems.
It was used when the station just transitioned to Fox. Not sure if they still used the NBC sign after the transition, but at least they did change it afterwards.
2:31 KVHP was then the default Fox affiliate for the Beaumont/Port Arthur market, and pictured here are the Veterans Memorial and Rainbow Bridges near Port Arthur. The Rainbow Bridge bears some resemblance to the I-10 bridge in Lake Charles.
Nowadays (at 11:37), WDRB has a duopoly with The CW affiliate WBKI, as they are both owned by Toledo, OH-based Block Communications (WDRB was acquired 1 year after its 1st sign-on)
In the 90s WDRB was partnered with then UPN Affiliate WFTE. Weather warnings would be dual-casted on both stations. Thankfully tv of that era is very well documented so the tapes are floating around youtube

Some of these areas it's hard to figure out where a market begins and ends. I know that between Springfield, MA & Hartford, CT there is 2 different NBC stations, 2 different ABC stations (Springfield & New Haven), but only 1 CBS & Fox Stations. The 2 cities are only about 30 miles apart, but the Springfield stations serve western Mass. while the Hartford stations serve most of CT. Back in the 1980s Southern New Hampshire was it's own market with an ABC station in Manchester, CBS station in Concord, and NBC station in Lebanon. The ABC station is still there, but the CBS station is no more and the NBC station is a satellite from Plattsburgh, NY. Southern NH market is now considered to be part of the Boston market.

As for KELO they were not lying when saying "KELO land STATIONS" as that channel carried the ENTIRE STATE of South Dakota vs 2 repeaters to get it out to the Badlands of South Dakota and would actually especially in the news weather forecast offer a 7 day forecast for all 3 markets the station and the repeaters were HQ'ed in.
WGN, KTLA, WTVS, WPIX and TBS were considered U.S. superstations in my area and thus were pay T.V. stations, which is why I'm somewhat familiar with them in despite me in not living anywhere *_near_* the areas in which they originally broadcast from in location. (I live on the west coast of Canada, so...)
K11TW now KIIT is a Fox affiliate now, also WJZ is a CBS O&O under ViacomCBS but WJZ now uses the CBS mandate graphics package but still continues to be call WJZ 13 and not CBS 13 like other CBS stations owned by ViacomCBS

Many of those idents still had cheesy jingles that were popular in the 80's, and many other idents (especially FOX affiliates) had their network's branding/jingles.
14:12. Isn't KDNL now the ABC affiliate in St. Louis? I know Channel 2 (KTVI) was at one time, and I believe that as of now (July 10, 2021) KTVI is Fox.
13:07 and the old channel 3 Hartford ID: Al Terzi was last with WTIC-TV (FOX) channel 61 of Hartford, involved with a public affairs show. His co-anchor, Denise D'Ascenzo, passed away on December 7, 2019. She was 61 years old. As for the ID used, I do NOT remember it at all!

KKVI disaffiliated from Fox in 2012, while XHFTX and XHFOX (which signed on in September 1995 and September 1994) became Televisa affiliates in 2002 as a result of a dispute between Televisa and Fox. WEVV affiliated with CBS in December 1995 and gained back Fox on its second digital subchannel in 2011. WNEM affiliated with CBS in January 1995 as part of deal involving WJBK, which affiliated with Fox in December 1994, sending the CBS affiliation to WWJ-TV (KBVO affiliated with CBS as part of that deal in the summer of 1995). WKEF was an ABC affiliate when it signed on but was part of NBC between 1980 and 2004. WALA affiliated with Fox in January 1996 as part of a deal that involved WGNO affiliating with ABC. WNFT became WTEV and later affiliated with CBS in 2002. The Group W/CBS affiliation deal saw KUTV, KCNC, WBZ, KYW and WJZ become CBS affiliates (which affected KXTV, which affiliated with ABC in a separate deal) and WCAU becoming an NBC owned and operated station, with Westinghouse buying CBS in November 1995. WNBC would bring back its 1992 ad campaigns following the 9/11 attacks.
I know this video is 3 years old, but at 8:55, WAAY-31 was and still is an ABC affiliate for Huntsville, AL not CBS. The CBS affiliate for Huntsville, AL back in 1990's and still is today is WHNT-19. I should know as I live there currently and have been for at least 23 years.
