90s TV Commercials: Blockbuster, Arby's & More!! 

I never get tired of these. I am a youtube follower. I really appreciate you guys always posting on RU-vid still. I was just rewatching old retro commercial compilations you guys did. I love watching them on my own but you guys make them more fun.

I made a playlist of these commercial streams and fall asleep to them on shuffle. No, I’m not kidding.

I worked at a Blockbuster when I was younger. They got murdered by Redbox, Netflix, and a business model that left them underwater with high property rental costs and unfavorable licensees vs the digital wave. Cool job, crap pay, cool people. I miss the business but I don't miss the job.

The "Top Gear" truck was actually a Hilux, not a Tacoma. Toyota's been building the Hilux since the late '60s. It's the truck that was sold here simply as Pickup until the mid '90s, when the Tacoma was introduced. They wanted to sell a slightly larger, more comfortable truck catered to North American tastes. Most of the rest of the world still gets the Hilux instead. Here in Arizona, I still see new Hiluxes that come up from Mexico all the time.

I can watch any modern "comedy" nowadays and not laugh once. Then I watch my Jaboody Boys and laugh pretty much through the entire video. And it's the same length as a standard comedy movie to boot. Thank you, Jaboody.

the 90s really was the best time. that blockbuster commercial is like warm and welcoming. streaming services don't even advertise, they just exist and want to suck your wallet. commercials today are fucking lame. no character, no story, no feel, sometimes no music or it's just bad garbage and it's no different than looking at the Jesus billboard on the highway. it's not funny or amusing just meh, I see it but whatever.
