@@amberericjones5694 I purchased a silver firebird decal kit for a 86 T/A for $40 off craigslist (last year for the large hood phoenix) i put the large bird on the hatch glass instead of the hood. The bird/screaming chicken (phoenix) on your hood is from the 1st generation cars. I like the paint on the plenum,i had to replace my headgaskets so i didnt feel much like polishing and painting. Some metal polish would clean your throttle body up nicely.Good Video
@@frankr8271 thank you, yea the previous owner had put the decal on the hood an pillars. Although the decals are from the 2nd gen era they still look pretty good on these 3rd gens. Maybe one of these days I ever get this car repainted properly I may install the correct decals for it. Kinda one of those things cant have a firebird without the decal. It's a trademark for them lol
Hey bud, my firebird has the same engine, i restored it, I’ve since been daily driving it, just today I started it up, it’s running so rough it sounds like it has a lope cam, it’s running rough, any ideas? Vacuum leak?
Check for vacuum leaks, compression, iacv, check timing/chain, check to see if your getting a cneck engine light on if so have to do the paper clip method I got a video for that too.
Amber & Eric Jones I have no check engine light, but I’ve looked for plug wires burnt and vacuum leaks and I have none, I guess I’ll Try the IAC sensor trick next
@@Butchersbikes31 may check to see of all cylinders are firing couple plugs not sparking could cause a misfire an give a rough idle. Check distributor cap.
@@Butchersbikes31 id Probably start with the plugs to see if their all arking nicley an check the condition of the disributor cap. Look for any corrosion of so you can take a little sand paper an clean the points up. Check the condition of the reluctor on the distributor itself make sure its not rusted up. These distributors have a tendency to collect moisture cause their is no breather holes and that rust can cause some issues. I had to replace my distributor because of that. Which also done a timing chain job at the same time. And I have video of all that as well
Amber & Eric Jones okay! I’ve replaced it about a year ago but I’ll check to see for corrosion, I just put new plugs in 5 months ago but I’ll check everything you said, thanks a lot and I’ll let ya know how it goes tomoroe
