As always great work !!! I do like the idea of the compound curves and matching the curves of the sail panel the roof line, trunk curve (bow), it all seems to be coming together nicely. Your shop is amazing. It makes me wonder how I can get to that point when I retire lol.😂
Thanks for watching and the compliment! I went a little overboard on the shop tools. I could get by with less stuff but having these does get things done quicker - or messed up that much sooner!
I agree that you need to tweak the side grille areas a bit. Probably only a couple of mm, but getting rid of the change of angle at the edge will (I think) improve the look of the curve noticeably.
Thanks for posting the build. My build is slowly plodding along behind yours as you blaze a path. It's been painted since the last time I sent you photos :)@@attheredbarn1669
New to this build but why not cut a inch or so out of the plenum height to keep it low but if it's being left that way for appearances then it creates a very unique look.
I have been thinking about a way to narrow the trailing arms to create a little more width in the engine bay. I'll be interested to see if you end up needing to do this or if the factory design will work for you.
Can the passenger side throttle body be rotated 180 degrees so that the drive by wire motor is toward the front of the car like the one on the driver’s side?
@19:05 Loving that curve, why not just carry it all the way to the end by adding a piece of curved pie where the straight part is between the lid and the sail panel?
Can you make the framing go around the front of the motor (if there is room). It would strengthen the whole cowl and give it a clean look. Like you did on the right side. What is your opinion?
Do you think you could have lowered the engine by 3" in modify the motor mounts. So you would not have an issue with CV axle articulation. Great job I have a 914 with a V8 Chevy which I modified had for 20 years would love to do a Ferrari engine there is a guy over here selling one just exactly like your engine I might buy it not sure just waiting for you to finish your cool project. 👍
