Ultimately it was the pick up coil on the distributor. Thanks for checking it out! Blessings and respect!

Not too bad, do have to remove distributor as it's on the lower side of plate. There's an electrical paste you'd apply to it to keep it from grounding out. The rest is plug and play minus setting distributor back in proper orientation. Hopefully this will help somewhat. Blessings and respect!

Whats that sound coming from at the beginning, mine does the same thing, it's a 93 c1500 and I can't figure out where and why it's doing it @1SmittysGarage

The rapid clicking/tapping sound is the blend door actuator behind glove box towards center dash area.
