Love your video. I have a 93 civic has new battery, spark plugs, starter, alternator, distributor rotor but won’t start. Unless I use starting fluid. Once’s it’s warm it starts right up but not when it’s cold. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!
I had a 1995 Civic it would crank and die immediately if you have that problem believe it or not start by looking at the ignition switch, that was the issue once he jumped a wire somewhere in particular I'm not sure I'm not a mechanic it turns on and runs just fine.. or you can simply replace the ignition which is not cheap.
yup sometimes ignition switch is the culprit but for this car we eliminate every single thing that hinder the car to start we check spark we pull out wiring diagram for the ignition coil and main relay and it bring us to the ecm ..the ecm doesnt gives control neg power if im not mistaken to the relay that will activate the fuel pump ..So its a bad ecm unfortunately i dont have the time to look for 2nd ecm for this old car so customer bring it a bigger shop but it cost him 2k to get an ecm plus other parts that the shop charge him
Its an intermittent ECM malfunction i suspect the driver or transistor inside the pcm is malfunctining ..After 3rd comeback of the customer its confirm ECM failure
