I remember night drives with my mom sleeping in the car as a kid listening to smooth jazz on this station. With the white noise of the car moving and the warmth from the heater man I miss alot
Back then the 80's were playing jazz music?? Not this were listening to now, this isn't jazz anymore.i think they need to bring back jazz for us listeners
In the 90s my dad and I would listen to this on our way from his work and listen To The Wave. This is the reason why I love Smooth Jazz so much. My dad has cancer right now and I can't see a world without him Not yet.
I grew up to the 90s and early 2000s until 2010. After that, 94.7 The Wave just isn’t the same anymore. I have a Spotify account with over 300 songs, from Stevie Wonder, Dave Koz, Sade, Phil Collins, Seal, Brian Culbertson, Rick Braun, Gregg Karukas, Bonny James, Peter White, Paul Hardcastle, John Klemmer, Anita Baker, Stanley Jordan, Alicia Keys, Shaka Kahn, Kenny G,Eric Clapton, Isley Brothers, and even Joyce Cooling. I miss my childhood
May I suggest Mark Whitman, The Gypsy Kings, Keiko Matsui, Al Jarreau, Michael McDonald; Grover Washington, Jr; Lauren Wood, and Bonnie Raitt to name a few? ;) Also, you misspelled Chaka Khan. lol
This list is incomplete because there are a few that you missed it; however, I thank you for making it possible for saving the _94.7 The Wave_ jingles... including a few that are bone-chilling. Also, RIP to Al Jarreau. :(
Thank you so much for uploading this I watched a video this morning about some kid riding in a car with his grandfather listening to Pink Floyd and it just reminded me of riding around in the car with my grandfather listening to 94.7 the way I still have the jingle stuck in my eighteen years later
I think we can all agree The Wave stations had the coolest station ID and commercial jingles. Does anyone know who wrote these? I've heard the jingles used on other stations, especially this one: 3:26
