In this video, I'll walk you through the process of replacing the muffler on a 2000 Honda Civic LX. The muffler I used was an eBay find that had been on the car for 3-4 years. It's a straightforward DIY axle-back muffler replacement for your Honda Civic!

Use silicone lubricant to remove the rubber exhaust hanger insulators. They’ll slide clean off

I did the same thing to my muffler just today. I backed up against a curb and my ripped clean off, and jacked up my bumper. I have to buy the same thing you just replaced, and fix my bumper.

Hey bro, so I bought a 2.5 inch exhaust and my exhaust pipe is 1.75, do you think I should just get an exhaust adapter along with some 2.5 inch pipe? I am linda ok a budget but that seems like my best bet

I am going to buy this exhaust for my EJ7 HX coupe the next week. This is the deep and aggressive sound tone I been looking for in the high end brands like HKS and Skunk2, who knew an eBay exhaust had the deep sound I want for my car 🔥😧

@@YD.00oh for sure, I always heard the bad things people said on eBay exhausts but this one is a major exception. This one friend of mine had a clean white 2000 civic sedan and it had this exact deep sound and immediately fell in love with how it sounded but he didn’t know what brand or where the exhaust came from. Took me years with researching many exhaust brands and options and my 2 final candidates were HKS and Skunk2 until I came across your video and matched it with a video of his civic and boom it connected all the dots for me. Cant wait to buy this exhaust on the 4th of this month.

it's stock! aside from an AEM short air intake, strut bars, etc. engine itself is stock

I have those same Achilles ATR tires and they have literally separated and broken at the sidewall 3 different times/3 tires have done this. They look so damn good but are so bad 😪

Hey you could always paint the inside of the silencer flat black so no one will see it and use jb weld to seal it so it doesn't make hissy noise 🤣

good tip on the paint! luckily I don't really hear that sound but if it wasn't for the possibility of getting pulled over, i would have removed the silencer all together!

my muffler looks like its welded on or something i dont have the bolts that you can just take out and take the muffler off do you know anything i can do or nah

What is the gasket part called exactly? And how did you take it out?

Can't recall the brand of the gasket I got, but check Advanced auto parts or auto zone and plug in your car details. It comes out easy for the most part. Otherwise, pry it out with a flat head screw driver or similar

Hey! It doesn't seem like it's in stock. Keep an eye out on ebay from time to time. Use search keywords "civic bolt on axle back exhaust" you can add the year of your car before the word civic
