Brake spring pliers make drum brakes so much easier.

How hard was it to pull the spring? The main one?

Thanks for your question, the spring was the hardest part. Without vice grips, I dont see how you can remove/reinstall it. A longer flat head would make it easier as you would have more leverage.

@@HomeownerDIYmaybe have you thought of using a clamp on the drum shoes to prevent it from moving when reinstalling springs?

@@e.r.videography6209 That would of been my next approach. I managed to use needle nose pliers and kept it in place using my shin. Im sure you can use a big C clamp, just put a piece of wood between the clamp/shoes so you dont damage the shoe material.
