He go's back on visits to Afghan every year, but all three daughters were brought up and educated in the Netherlands, and 'refuse' all attempts to take them to visit Afghanistan. They say they will NEVER visit Afghanistan as long as women are treated less than equal. I can't say I blame them.

Hasib Omar you'd be surprised at the amount of people who also have huge dislike for the MSM, bad press only showing the bad side of the country, politicians & invaders who have taken advantage of your lands for many years. Then the Americans in the 50's ended up Changing the water table & making the water salty, therefore giving the poppy a great place to grow. I watched a documentary/film by Adam Curtis called Bitter Lake & really changed opinions. 👍🏼👍🏼

His heart is so pure. One who doesn’t trust easily and is very cautious and on guard entering this country. While the other shows exactly how we should respond as humans to coexist in each others worlds and just show nothing but compassion and optimism that hopefully one day the whole world can come together. I had to cry hard watching this one. An overwhelming mixture of joy but also sadness. So many heartwarming interactions - even though, as you said, you don't even understand each other's languages you can communicate on this deep, primal level where you just know were both humans living together on this sometimes harsh planet, experiencing the same on a basic human level even though your experiences differ wildly. It reminded me of what we truly are and that were in this together. But knowing the situation in Afghanistan it's also sad. Sad that not everyone can live peacefully because some few people ignore our indifferences. One thing I will do for sure is travel the whole world, backpacking, hitchhiking after finishing my studies. Planning a rough route isn't easy as some countries are too risky as traveller. So many countries, cultures and experiences I will perhaps never see and have to avoid in the face of danger. Props to you Thomas for taking this risk but also opportunity and showing us this beautiful country.

I have so many complicated feelings about this video! Beautifully shot and a beautiful story as always but it’s so sad watching them discuss the Taliban with the locals just shortly before they took over the rest of the country. I hope Noor and his family are safe and I am thinking too of the children he played cricket with and wondering where their lives are going now and hoping they are safe too. It’s a beautiful country that’s been through so much and continues to experience hardship. And I always appreciate the Yes Theory boys and the respect and open minds they have about where they are but I feel sad too; as a woman I feel like the experience would be very different. The citadel and mosque are so beautiful, the food and tea look so good and I would love to experience it in person someday but as an American woman I doubt that will ever happen. But perhaps I am wrong, and I would have no issues as a tourist. I am still sad for the local women though. All the men they met all seem so nice and lovely but sad to not be able to talk to any women for the video. All cultures are unique in the way they function but now especially the situation for women there is scary. But Americans are certainly not innocent or blameless in the history of Afghanistan, per usual western countries have repeatedly come in and wrecked their country and home and culture. So complicated!! Like Thomas said I suppose. It’s all shades of grey.

i cried too 😭 Noor said he worked an entire year to save only about $4,000 to buy a couple hundred square feet of land to build a school for the children of afghanistan 🇦🇫 because they are the future. This touched my fucking soul. I love the intention of giving Noor some proceeds of the company they gave him. It really shows how much people of privilege take for granted. I could save over $8,000 in a year working at mcdonald's and still live off of the rest I would've made in ONE ☝️ Year. He can finally build that school and help all those children in need have an opportunity at bettering their lives, the lives of the people around them, and the future of Afghanistan 🇦🇫. Praise their souls. Great Work YES Theory. Really emotional video. P.S. : I find it absolutely INSANE Noor actually went through all that, and still is determined to better his country instead of abandoning all hope like soundly a lot of people after understanding terrorist organizations occupy 60% - 70% of all lands in the Country. (They said there are about 6-7 counties in which they'd actually be able to venture off in, without threat of terrorism or kidnapping.... absolutely disturbing. I know Afghanistan's situation 🇦🇫 WILL get better in time. This just inspires me to try even harder in life to give a lot more support to people in countries who actually need it. GG's all around. I'm investing in crypto and Tesla and donating all capital gains to help out countries in situations such as this. At the end of the day, we're all human and a little goes a long way in different places across the globe. 🌍 🇦🇫🆙⬆️🤍

It was all the stereotypes things, there must be good humans and bad humans, not all American is bad, not all Asian is bad, not all European is bad same things on religion. For me they are all the same, I never pictured some race or religion as what bad things has one of them ever done cuz we know people do bad things no matter what color you are or what believe are you in human will always be human.

I really needed to see this. As a combat veteran that served in Kandahar Province, and had a pretty rough deployment, I believe this video has helped me start the healing process I need. It's been 8 years since I was there, losing some really close friends in the process, but you leave holding grudges and resenting a culture as a whole. This video made me feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders, and I can begin to really try to appreciate what the country of Afghanistan, the culture, and the people really have to offer. Thank you for this.
