Yes, just keep on trying! I killed a few pots before getting the hang of them. Most crucial stage is when you first get them. Only water enough to wet the roots in the 1st month. After that, increase the amount of water, but longer intervals between waterings. When the roots are fully established, they are one of the easiest succulents to care for. 😊
PEARLS I'm still not growing well. It's a succulent that's too hard for me. Other people raise them too easily, but I'm worried why I don't grow up so well. I enjoyed your video. I hope you are always happy.💕💕
Aww... sorry to hear you have a hard time with them. Mine only grow successful inside the house under grow lights. I tried growing some outside before and they died. They are very slow growers that need a lot of light, but cool temperature. I hope you are able to try them again and grow them successfully. 😊💚
@@TheseSucculentBuddies Koreans say that raising them outside grows well, so I'm raising them outside too. However, it does not grow well even when indoors. I'm thinking about taking it to my shop and growing it. I turn on the growing lights in winter, but now they don't. I will grow it under a growing light in winter. Thank you so much for the good information.🤗🤗
Thanks so much Vonny! Yes, I absolutely agree they grow very slowly compared to the regular green pearls. But they are just so nice to look at with all the variegation. I've had them now for about 5 months and they are barely hanging off the pots. 😅
They are all established now coz I've had then for about 5 months! They grow slowly, but super easy to care for under my lights. How are yours doing sis?
Yes, make use of it. Sayang din. They like growlights a lot. And then if they are not hanging over the pot yet, kase they take a long time to grow, they will be happy kahit hindi hanging.
Oh, totally agree! Very slow growers just like other variegated succulents. But I'm thankful they are easy to care for like the regular green ones. Thanks for stopping by Marie! 😊
No, not hard. Just the same as the regular green ones for care tips. The only tricky part about it is the amount of light to give them. They are a bit more sensitive. They need a whole lot of light to keep the variegation, but they don't like it directly on them. The variegated parts get burned easily. They are also very slow growers. They need to be kept cool during the hot months or they will just dry up, or turn to mush.
Thank you for the video :) when I water my pearls the ones laying on the soil tend to absorb and turn black and mushy :/ yours are laid on the soil yet don't look black and mushy, help pls 🙈
If they are like the ones I got in the video just bare root, go ahead and plant them in well draining soil. Wait a week to water just enough to wet the root area. Do this for a few weeks whenever the soil dries out. When new roots are well established after a month or so, you can increase the amount of water you give with longer intervals between watering. 😊
My string of pearl is not growing well I’m worried some of the stems are drying I don’t know if it’s gonna survive. I put it in the windowsill with indirect sunlight. Do they need water so often or not?
They need water when the pearls start to wrinkle and the soil is dry. Remember, they are summer dormant. They don't put out a lot of growth until the weather cools.
