97-06 Jeep Wrangler TJ Double Din Stereo Installation Android Navigation 

Thanks for video. The nut on back of radio was hard to remove but taking the top nuts loose allowed me to pull it out and get to it easier. Only took an hour with a trip to Autozone for an antenna extender cable.

This will help me a lot. Just bought a double din stereo and dash kit for my 99 tj. Can't wait to get it in!!!

I used this kit to install a single din Kenwood Stereo in my Wrangler TJ and installed a President single din citizen's band transceiver under the stereo. It looks great. I saw no need for a double din stereo but wanted to install the citizen's band transceiver off the transmission hump.

Thank you for the great video. Was able to swap out an aftermaket CD player with a new one. Very easy even without a harness kit.

With as much water as my TJ experiences, I opted to put a marine stereo in my Jeep.

While I would never, ever put a touch screen into any car - much less a Jeep - your video is very helpful as I'm installing a single DIN "Nomech" and a single DIN CB into my '06. Your video is very detailed and well done! Thank you.

To get the bolt off the radio is frustrating. I removed the two bracket nuts to move the radio slightly forward. That was still not enough so I had to hacksaw off part of the right wing of the bracket to move the radio even further to enable me to get into the back to remove the 10mm nut. As said in the video you have to remove the glove compartment on the passenger side. Finally got the nut off...use a short socket wrench for this if you can, just not enough room and you have to do all the work by feel. Have fun everyone (LOL)

Is it waterproof? How does it do with lots of heavy bumps and plenty of jarring around. My jeep sees a lot of off road duty....

It would be nice if you could re-use the anti theft bar. Don't know if you take your doors off much but I'd be worried about theft with mine. Either way, great video you made it look easy.

Hey mate. Got a TJ 2005 wrangler renegade that has stock 6 speakers, sub and I assume amp in the centre console next to sub. Looking to replace stock stereo. New one uses ISO. So was just going to get new harness and splice to new Stereo harness. Do you know if doing this will still allow stock sub and amp to work?

I did the same with double din kenwood but i noticed my factory subwoofer in arm rest console don't work i wish you showed how you wired up and showed that all speakers work if tou jeep has a console subwoofer mime a 2005 jeep lj unlimited rubicon

How long did this take you. I ordered the Sony ax3200 for my 2003 tj and I have the same factory stereo in my tj right now. Do you have the facotry amp amd sub and does it work with new stero by using the harness instead of plugging the amp amd sub into the rc Jack's on back of new stereo?

Hey Mate, hope you can help me out with a question. looking to replace stock radio in my wrangler TJ 2005. Dash and radio looks exactly like yours. Was looking to put in a joying single din 8.8inch head unit. But after reading online i have read that if you have an amplifier aftermarket stereos dont always work. My jeep came stock with 7 spearkers, Sub in the center dash between the 2 front seats and amplifier. I am led to believe the amp is also in the center dash, although have never pulled the dash apart to confirm. I keep hearing issues with Infinity and boston compatibility especially when looking through various android head units on aliexpress. One store mentioned requiring the use of a CANBUS however 1 or 2 forums i have checked mention that the TJ did not use canbus protocol until the JK was released and i should have no issues plugging in after market stereo and having everything work . Do you have any advise for person who has no ideas about the inner workings of cars Cheers
