Won’t rev past 3400 rpms, sounds like it’s running on one cylinder, Carb issues??

If you have this issue, clean carb and rebuild carb with rebuild kit. Issue solved

rocky rives actually no it didn’t. I’ve done some diagnostics and I’m leaning towards it’s an electrical issue. I’ve swapped out the rectifier, alternator, checked fuses. Haven’t been out to work on it lately but I’m thinking my issue is with the computer or MPEM I think it’s called. I’ll get that part ordered and if it works, I’ll let you know and post another video

I have a 1996 seadoo GTX like yours. I am having the same problem with my ski. Did you get your ski running and what solved it. Thank

King smooth I didn’t get it running smooth yet. Haven’t had time to get back to it. But I believe it’s an electrical issue. Possibly the computer. That or a bad ground somewhere. I replaced the plugs, wires, rectifier, stator, and fuel lines.

@@blaisemcalister4331 , yes I had a running issue about 6 years ago and that turned out to be the rectifier. Now it's running like it has a engine miss when you attempt to rev the engine past 3000 rpm. Sounds like the same problem you are experiencing . Keep me posted. I am leaning towards a problem with the rev limiter or the coil.
