I think that mysterious circuit is for the intermittent function or maybe even the reverse direction once the path has been travelled. It probably has a NE555 timer IC which would be a dead giveaway. Great video Rob, cool motors.

yes they are very useful. Ive got 2 to open 2 small windows, the park function is to close the window, and then my Raspberry Pi running BBC basic just turns the motor on for a set amount of time to fully open then window. been using it for 2 years now, and its awesome.

Wipe motors mate, great for tumblers to sort of rocks for gold trommels. Morning from Australia, treadmill nearly finished. Had to build a tool for the job to much loctite used to break apart.

As it's not needed to run the motor; I'd say that the circuit board contains a 555 timer or an integrated circuit to control the wiper delay.

I've been working with wiper motors some time ago.. if you unscrew the motor case and slightly rotate the magnets position , the motor will spin much faster at the same voltage

Hi, is there any chance you might be able to help me with a wiper motor issue? Whilst I use them I certainly don't fully understand the wiring system. I use lots of wiper motors for my halloween displays (connected to12v 5am power packs/leads). But whilst I can simply select fast or slow speed I am desperately trying to find the right combination for park mode on my 4 wire Mapco 90192 wiper motor. I have spent months trying to figure it out but I fail every time. Any advice or a walk through would be greatly appreciated. Best wishes 👍

The wiper motors aren't body grounded as they sit in the wiper linkage which sits on rubber mounts

Any help here please . I got stuck with odd behaviore. I have British stile dashboard suposedly it was build for me Ascona C 85 model year that thing has 700Y voltage regulator inside the dashboard. How ever I broke down the 12si delco alternator regulator to see whats inside and suprisengly nothing just empty circuet board. The thing is Im chaseing fir days to see why me engin self acelerates from idel to max rpm when I use me head lights the other thing acured as well If I use on warm motor all 4 blinkers me engin dont want to stop it kinde of works in union with blinker relay nearly resembeling hit and miss engine . I do use 4 pin gm ignition module with inductive trigger and E core type ignition coil from GM . I found the problem eventualy it was corroded ground wire on the back side lights bulb holder it hade grean staff on it I cleaned it and the problem gone away eventualy. But I wanted that feature for some reason I was curiuse why it worked so well??? Can I modify that some how and use that feature ? Other specs that I have: 2pin warning lights on relay, 3 pin blinker relay, 4pin rear windscrean heater relay 6pin windscrean wiper motor relay. So any help please why that acured? What has blinker relay to do with other relays me wire harnest from GM is a mess Im confused like hell. Is there any way to control that 4 pin gm ignition module pulse duration ? Im tired to go out side in winter to fumel with me distributor ignition timing . Im seriusly anoyed. And is that windscrean motor 6pin relay actualy singel pole dobel trow relay??

What ever happened to all the fuss over the Bedini SSG. All the latest video I find are over 2 years old. I just finished a build of a SSG finding it a lonely world. LOL

Given the speed at which they rotate under a 12V load, these motors would seem to be a good candidate for making a hand crank generator. 😊 Or are they horribly difficult to turn?

I built a light duty Scissors Jack using one of those. It can lift my Ford Ranger Pick Up. . It won't last long. They used plastic gears.
