I feel your pain Richard. I've had a total of 7 surgeries between both shoulders and none of them were any fun. I wish you a speedy recovery and many more years of teaching us the ins and outs of transmissions.
Well Richards good to see you back I had no clue that you're having family issues been a very loyal viewer love your videos they're all educational if you are having surgery a good luck on that
Hello Richard and Miss Teresa. I watched your video first thing and was #15. I appreciate all of your videos, I've learned a lot. I live in Albuquerque NM close to Albuquerque Dragway and race a 1991 S10 with a 350, Turbo 350 and 4:10 gears. It runs 12.20s. I love the Dirty Bird. Id like to see a video with you making a few passes. Thanks again.
hey Richard i had a total shoulder joint replacement because of a rotator cuff issue ( 2 previous failed surgery's ) i had the reverse capsular joint procedure absolutely amazing results just stick to the program for recovery good luck to you
I’m happy to have the new channel recommended. I kinda stopped following with he other channel because I sent in 2 requests for a transfer case and transmission rebuild and never heard back. Hope this works out exactly like what you are dreaming!
Richard, im the one with the 99 f350 that occasionally locks the torque converter when im stopping. There is no inline filter, i did notice yesterday when it was doing it that if i manually shift it to first while stopped it will do it. The torque converter is new however i have no idea about the transmission itself. It has 264,000 on it and ive replaced the filter in the last 10k miles. This seemed to help for awhile but i also fixed the leaking dipstick tube at the same time.
I don’t know if you will see this comment but I need advice, my truck is a bit of a hot rod, they blew the factory rear end up and put what we believe is a 12v rear end in, it’s a 2002 dodge 3500 Cummins, with the nv5600, when I bought the truck I had seen the put a new driveshaft in, but when I had it loaded with wood, I went over a bridge and the whole truck started to vibrate like it’s on rumble strips anytime it’s above 60mph, my mechanic believes the drive shaft got shoved up into the transfer case and broke the snap rings holding the bearing in place, it is leaking transmission fluid now too from the tail end, do you think he’s right, and do you think I can rebuild it, or is it even the transferase.
8:43 Quite a bit different then my NP231D mine has a two piece output casing and tailshaft housing. 16:10 does that PTO work with the transfer case in neutral?
@Richard & Teresa Educational Transmission Videos Thank you for answering. Just remember, if you need help, I am sure many of us will come running. Many of us , most if not all, have the utmost respect for you. Many would drop what they are doing coming to your side to help. Me, I can teach several martial arts, but I'm not sure how that would help. lol I am a wrench ,but not on transmissions. Be safe. You are a national treasure .
@@levi743 going to be looking at a rear bushing and rear seal I would use a dealer seal only no aftermarket and bushing will be aftermarket. If you buy the bushing from the dealer, you have to buy the tail housing because the bushing comes in the tail housing only transtar sell the bushing
