I had the same problem, I opened the fuse box below the steering wheel, and one by one took out each fuse and put it right back it. Don’t know how, but it worked.
Help me out here, I think I missed something. HOW did you do to get it started. I have the same problem and the mechanics that came over said it's matter of a locksmith fixing it....
If you stand out side the car will it start mine does the same thing and I was in Walmart parking lot checked under the hood and reached in the door and it started
check your fuel pump relay fuse if the fuse is bad it's going to cause that light The Flash so before you change anything check the fuel pump relay fuse
I have a 99 explorer xlt v8 , the keys usually have chips in them , you say you bought it used , most likely the key you have isn’t a original just a copy with out the chip paired with the anti theft
check the fuel pump relay fuse if it's bad it will Flash and your fuel pump will not work he'll do the same as the Anti-Theft don't waste your money and take it to the dealer because I'll just change the relay fuse and charge you for reprogram and everything
put key in ignition turn your key to run and back to stop position 8 times on the 8th time leave it to the on position security light will blink then go off. You should hear door locks activate, this is good . With the key in the on position push all of the buttons on the fob,Turn key off .
to update on this video... I ended up selling the car to my uncle, he replaced some parts and sent the car to Ford who had to reset it and the key. Still to this day the car starts perfectly. So the only solution I know is take it to Ford. Will update if anything else comes up. thanks guys
you can bypass it by disconnecting the power on the starter, run a new power wire from the positive terminal(on the starter) up to your battery. when you want to start the vehicle turn your key on and touch the new wire that is on the starter to your positive terminal on your battery. or you can just add a in line push button.
My Lincoln Town Car is doing the SAME thing. Red Light (mine is on top of dash) flashes irratically and car won't start. It does crank but doesn't start. Let me add, that sometimes it DOES start right up. It's a big crap shoot and this problem has made me late to work many times
MotorCityPlayer did you get your towncar started I'm having the exact same problem but mine won't let the fuel pump work properly and it's brand new ,fuses are new the switch on the trunk is new I know it's the anti theft system red light blinks fast when I put the key in on position.
Mine does the same thing. If you jiggle the positive terminal on the battery it resets mine. Also, when that does not work i slowly turn and i mean very slowly turn the key to get it started.
AFTER THE FLASHING STOPS IT WILL GIVE YOU A CODE - 11 12 13 14 15 -- IT WILL FLASH AGAIN ONCE AND THEN ONCE MORE FOR 11 OR ONCE AND THE TWO MORE FOR 12 OR ONCE AND THEN 3 MORE FOR 13 AND SO ON --THIS WILL TELL YOU WHAT THE PROBLEM IS ..YOU HAVE TO LOOK UP THE CODE IT GIVES YOU -- YOU CAN FIND IT ON THE INTERNET CODE CHARTS FOR THE CAR YOU HAVE
i hava a ford f 1-50 and didnt wanted to start the theft light will come on blinking so all i did is just move steering wheel down and the truck started 👍
