@@earthsky @ :15 half of the USA & all of Russia / China are in full sunlight. On Google Earth with proper settings for the axis tilt, Russia and China are in complete darkness. This is what we would expect as they are on the opposite side of the globe from the USA. It would be great if you would give this a try then share your explanation. Otherwise, the globe IS 100% impossible.

To try and make it work on a sphere they have to make an assumption of a spherical ball, tilted at 66.6% with the sun at a certain distance etc. etc.. @@scotthollars1555 All the land on earth is 29% of the surface, of that 29% , 57% of it is uninhabitable "mountains and deserts" So that leaves 12% of the planet that has all the people. Now of that 12% most people are grouped in cities for example, Canada and Russia are the two largest countries in the world , but mostly unpopulated . Ontario is the most populated province in Canada and 90% of the province population lives at the very south end of the province where we get the most sunlight . Same is true for Russia the country is mostly empty everyone lives near each other. It is estimated that 4.6 billion or more then half of the worlds population lives in urban cities, all the cities combined is less then 1% of land. So if 99% of the worlds population is living close together near the equator then it's not so hard to realize and i bet this happens more then once a year. The sun always shines light on 50% of the earth and 50% is in darkness if we ignore atmospheric reflection and shade from mountains or the moon. 99% of people happen to live within that 50% from a certain angle which appears to be above Africa

​Demonstrate it with aglobe then using a flashlight as the sun. Angle the globe the same tilt as they say the earth is and show all tha land lit up. If you do i may throw any possibilty of the earth being flat in the trash and go back completely to globe earth. ​@@earthsky

@@PricklyPineapplesProductions Where does it say all the land is in sunlight? Where does it even say more then 50% of the earth is in sunlight? It doesn't anywhere, Learn to read the title literally says "99% of the population " not 99% of the landmass , know the difference.

@@jeremycormier8559 most of the land mass is still covered as seen by the map of sunlight. Either way using the current depictions of a globe this should not be possible.

The simplest explanation is planets are for the most part roundish because the math goes that way. Now take all of your flat earth proof and show me how they all work together as one cohesive unit.

@@earthsky it's not rational. The entire idea is based on assumptions. It is assumed to be a sphere, and upon that the tilt is assumed . The sun distance and size, assumed. See the pattern yet??

That's all you have is an explanation that has no proof, no experiment no nothing. The globe is dead get over yourself.
