I love how I learnt that making the hydraulics the smallest possible is the best for budget by watching his videos proving that over and over and he still makes them as long as possible... Might be that he things long shapes are efficient

The tension on the suspension bridge can also be reduced using higher pillars and the cable hanging more. Ideally it should touch the road or even underpass it

But building a strong efficient bridge with hydraulics is 99% stress..... 7:37 I think that’s supposed to be paddy’s “red rocket.” Also, the towers in your suspension bridge were facing the wrong way. They should be facing backwards so they pull the tension instead of the weight of the bridge pulling the towers down.

21:28 I think that suspension bridge would do better if you angled the steel the other way so that when the rope is under tension, it compresses the steel rather than pulling it at an angle.
