Hello. Great video. I have a 2011 997.2 Carrera 2 Coupe. Love the car, but like many others, I'm trying to figure out best way to play music AND make/ receive calls with my iPhone. Best I came up with is to hold and charge iPhone on the Rennline MagSafe phone mount/charger and plugging the charger into the passenger footwell 12v socket AND plugging an Aux/Lightening cable from the center console Aux plug directly to the Lightening port on the iPhone. Works fine, but drawbacks are (1) I now have a cable running from the Aux plug in the center console to the iPhone and (2) I need to unplug the phone charger from the 12v outlet when not using because I understand that the 12v is always "on". My questions are: (1) Can I use the Tunai Firefly to listen to music from my iPhone AND simultaneously use the car Bluetooth to make /receive calls? (2) Is the USB port in the center console always "on"? If so, do I need to unplug the Firefly from the USB port when I am not using the car, or does the Firefly shut off? (3) Have you or anyone else upgraded to the NM Automotive "PCM 3.0 CarPlay & Android Auto Kit" and if so, what are your thoughts? Apologies for the long winded post, but thank you so much!

Thanks for your message, yes with the firefly you can connect to the bluetooth in the PCM simultaneously and it will automatically switch between the two when a call comes in. The USB port turns off I believe when the PCM powers down, either immediately or after a short while when locked. The NM automotive I have tried with pcm 3.1 but not yet with pcm 3.0. It is a great system but make sure it is installed correctly. Thanks, Raj

Thanks for the kind words! The bluetooth device is Tunai Firefly, www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01HXXJPWK. The motherboard route is through a company like NM Automotive www.nmautomotive.co.uk/

Is the Tunai better than Bovee. I just paid £135 for Bovee and £50 for Porsche Y cable and it works sporadically. It cuts out constantly and cause of low volume cuts back to a blaring radio. Not happy. Can’t work out what’s going on!

No idea without seeing the car, can you press the OPTION button when in that screen to see what is available in terms of bluetooth options? Cheers, Raj

I've got a 2010 Carrera 4S and for the life of me I am unable to get my iPhone to play over bluetooth. Have you had any experience with that? I've tried everything.

Hi Lubo, you'll need a bluetooth device plugged in to the AUX and 3.5mm port in the centre armrest and then pair to this. I am presuming you have the Univeral Audio Interface option on your car. Many thanks, Raj

I have a 997.2 GTS. How do I play music through the Bluetooth?

If you have the Univeral Audio interface option, located in the centre armrest you can then use the AUX source on the PCM and buy a bluetooth audio adaptor, such as the Tunai Firefly. Thanks, Raj

In my 991.1 I’m not allowed to press the “find telephone” button. When I do it says: “function currently not available” The PCM won’t come up on my Bluetooth list either. Do you have any suggestions on have to fix that?

Hi Jacob, my guess would be your 991.1 wasn't factory optioned with the telephone module or bluetooth module, just the navigation. I have come across this before. Cheers, Raj
