9th Annual All American Originals Car Show (2019)

For those that are tired of seeing hot rods and customs at every car show, the All American Originals car show at Enderle Center in Tustin, CA is a nice and simple event that highlights pre-1977 American made automobiles that are original or restored to original quality. Hosted by the Orange County chapter of the Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA), this event really puts in perspective the best days of the American automobile industry, and made us appreciate non-hot rodded cars a little more. We have been eyeing to go to this event for the past 5 years, and we finally made it! It was like stepping into a time machine to see the typical cars that made up America's streets. It was a very unique show in that there are so few events in SoCal that have absolutely no custom cars. Even a few British cars and a Volkswagen Beetle somehow made their way into the event!

Absolutely fantastic group of vintage automobiles. I have my parents 58 cadillac that they bought in 1960. Lifelong Southern California car. I was 1 year old then. Its completely original, and I drive it regularly.

Those are beautiful. AACA is perhaps the best car club. Anything stock, at least twenty-five years old. You're welcome. Viewers might look up their local chapter, to see some wonderful cars in their region. Or to join, if you have such a car.

I still say cars of old have more character than today's cars. Every single one of these cars has distinct features and stylings that make it just a little more unique from the rest of them.

Just saw this video for the first time today. Now it's one of my favorites. Love the format with them driving out. Beautiful cars. My original '76 Mercury Monarch Ghia with 14,000 miles would fit right in. Also love the variety of models at this show.

Robert Booth. Worked for the Cadillac dealer in Vegas. 1956. Worked for a automotive lease co.in SLC in 1968 for 16 years had some connection with most all the cars shown here

In high school my buddies and I were all into customizing our cars with chop tops, spinner hubcaps, scallop paint jobs and all the cool stuff but now I have a ‘56 Olds 88 and I love how She looks all original. I might lower Her down a little but for the most part, I’m done cutting up the old Gals. I’ve noticed it’s getting harder and harder to find a bone stock 1950’s and older car these days.

Dazzling! I was knocked out by the appearance of the big Rolls! Dang! And a VW following close behind! What a dichotomy! Top of the scale to the bottom so to speak! But a vintage VW is amazing to see. I think that one hovers around, what, '63? '64? I had several as a kid. They were sweet -- except in subtropical so. Fl. in summer! Lol! The Nash little cars? I can't think of their model but the were glorious to behold. There was on two-seater Thunderbird, perhaps '55? What a PERFECT car for a couple! I have to watch again just to see it!

I have a 1957 Ford Ranchero, and a 1939 Buick both of which I drive daily. They both look very much like intended, and are beautiful cars, but are far more drivable and safe, not to mention dependable, because of upgrades to mechanicals. These are called Restomods, meaning that they have been restored, but modified. I agree, they are Beautiful, but most importantly, they can be driven, and not just sit in the garage waiting for a local show.

Great show. No hot rods. I remember when all old car shows were like that. AACA shows are about the only ones left where you can see cars such as these. I liked all the pre-war stuff, too.

Original is the way to go. i agree with you on the customized cars, theyre are ruined with big rims, flashy paint jobs, pin striping, lowered suspension, etc.

Some scenes look like a normal day in the parking lot of a Piggly Wiggly(remember those?) parking lot in the mid-sixties, before they really started to import Japanese cars. ALL AMERICAN cars! I'm 67, so I remember those days quite well.

And now it's a dream of even buying one but even rarer since most you see are rust buckets needing repair and everything else or they're already restored but they go up for about 20 to 30 thousand or even more. And the more you want cheap the more crappier it gets in results. I'm young so I'd like to actually own one someday like an old Mercury Cougar.
