Yelling and trying to distract someone while serving is one of the bitchiest things to do in volleyball, it’s really bad sportsmanship and let the damn person serve in peace but go off I guess.
I usually say "Up, Short/Over/Deep" If they overhand serve, is that distracting? I don't mean to do it as such a distraction, but for my team to know that it's coming.
@@Giselle4484 we would do that at practice last year! With my old coach during scrimmages at practices we would yell at the person serving like “soft serve!” Or “DQ!” Or “Chicken tendies!” Or other random things like pepto bismol (a favorite or another team we play) Because we needed to build up the tolerance to not get really mad or laugh lmao
whoever the coach is on the red team should be disappointed in themselves for letting those girls yell when the black team was serving. that’s not a tactic to win or distract them, that’s just disrespectful and immature
@@CG-es3fs no. they did it with intentions of messing the players up. it’s rude and distasteful. they were obviously able to serve with the noise, which makes it that much more unnecessary.
they had the rught idea like for my team if its a deep server we say ocean or if its shot we say shot but like when they are serving we say ball as a distraction
They do that when the ball is up to make sure that the team is paying attention. I play volleyball and there nothing wrong with it they just trying to ready for there ball to come to there side
Tbh I know it’s weird doing that but either way it’s good to go and cheer cuz if it wasn’t even your fault that you got a point you would still go in the middle and cheer
Intentionally messing the other team up is just shit sportsmanship. Clapping when winning is alright, I do it whenever my team scores a point but fr though, in that situation that's just disrespectful

If you cant get a point by actually playing the game and not trying to distract the other team then you just need to work harder and try harder. Its just disrespectful. No way of justifying it
i hate when the other team screams when serving. it’s unsportsmanlike and i wish it wasn’t allowed in vball, like they’d get a yellow card or the other team gets a point or something.
Gracie R. Unfortunately that’s how it is. I’m in volleyball and my team and other team does it all the time. We say balls up that’s it though. It’s the crowd that screams.
the black team is more favorable because they look like they get along and work well with eachother. Also, they have more communication and they don't yell while the other team is serving.
I was going for Black team since the beginnings you can see they are really friendly with their rivals they just seemed friendly since the beginning I like how they played.
@@brie-ann it’s normal on volleyball but at the same time I hated when the other team would yell when I would server I couldn’t hear my coach and teammates and would mess up my server
You know what’s more effective and less disrespectful, just make weird faces and look at the person serving, it not unsportsmanlike because it’s a way of distracting them yet motivating them to bring it.
literally while the red jerseys were serving it was quiet and then the black jerseys served and they were yelling. in the words of stephanie tanner, “how rude!”

Jordyn in the normal speaking way, the girl hit the ball while she was standing outside of the line. In volleyball way, the girl was out of the voided when she was about to spike. Ok nvm I was trynna sound profesional but nvm
Well technically you are allowed to, but it’s frowned upon. It’s very unsportsmanlike but not bad enough to get a violation. Still, you shouldn’t do it, it’s just stupid.
The fact that they let the other team just yell to mess up the other teams serve was irritating like it was obvious they were trying to get points by doing that. Smh.

Red’s libero was doing nothing, running with her arms together and not even moving for the ball half the time. Has some amazing serves but needs to work on the court skills.
honestly for some reason watching this video, I was so proud when Eastwood one idk why. Yeah, Bel Air was super disrespectful and honestly probably desperate, enough to make them try to mess with other's serves. The 3, 9, and 7 on Eastwood's team were all very talented I thought. Eastwood also just seemed more put together than Bel Air. Idk just my opinions.
The sad thing is I have also been in the situation where some team was yelling while you were serving. It was very annoying and disgusting. It got me and my team very upset so we had to yell to not here them. It’s immature that they let this happen and I hope no one will be in this situation.
Exactly, but for me it’s the audience. They would be stomping their feet on the bleachers, which is VERY anoying. Like when im serving, they would do that and it’s a distraction for me.
gosh i remember reffing a team that screamed while the other team served. soo annoying but ik it was their coach that told them to do it and taught them how to 🗿🗿
I’m really glad east wood won because yelling while someone is severing is very disrespectful. I hope they are disappointed that they lost because they had that aspect to distract the opponent just to win. That’s the most disgusting and disrespectful thing I’ve seen in one of these videos….
The libero in blue is just standing straight when the ball is in play, that’s why when the ball is like 2 feet from her, she couldnt move quickly to it 😖😭 or she gets there but she reaches for it or dives for it. dude liberos are suppose to be the quickest one on the team. But i hope she improves over time and their coach does drills for their reflexes :)

to the people defending the red team: i’m sorry, but just no. the red team was plain disrespectful and they were yelling “upppp” before the ball even went up. look at 7:55. they were doing it right when the ref blew the whistle. and it wasn’t even just trying to alert their teammates that the ball was going up. if it were, they wouldn’t have to yell for 8 SECONDS STRAIGHT. that team had bad sportsmanship and i’m sort of disappointed that their coach didn’t even try to stop them. [though, they probably learned that tactic from them anyway.] yes, it may be common for people to yell while the other team is serving to distract them, but that doesn’t make it justified. props to the black team for keeping their cool and retaliating, i know i would’ve been annoyed lol
Omg same. It’s my first time ever going to play a sport and I’m nervous lol. But with practice and watching some volleyball tips You can learn to be good:D
bruh when ppl yell when we try to serve is the most angering thing ever like one time we had a game and it was an obviously easy win, but there was this one person who would literally scream at us and sing at the top of their lungs when we would serve. like wtf. anyways we lost that game because we weren't used to someone screaming at us when we were serving, and to this day I'm still pissed about it and also like, why were they kind of in harmony sometimes lmaooo
I am honestly so mad at the red team since there was always a team that’d yell / scream their theme song when my team was serving, during competitions, which caused us to fail them. So, what we did was yell / scream our theme song when they were serving just to get back at them. I don’t regret it one bit. If they had to resort to that tactic, it means that they’re probably not very good. ❤ love for the black team!

Everyone is complaining about the yelling when serving but personally I like it. My team does it too and I guess out thinking is to play hard and mean. I don’t think is especially rude because when going against a team you gotta do whatever you should to win as long as it’s not hurting anyone.

its not unsportmanslike and the point of sports isnt to play dirty or mean, its to try as hard as you can but its extremely rude to try and sabatoge a serve.

I wish there was a rule in volleyball about yelling when the opposing team is serving. I play volleyball, and the crowd is already loud enough when you're playing, so when the opposing team starts yelling when you serve is the worst. The red team's coach should definitely give them a lecture about yelling and trying to distract the person serving.
