LOL - but (slight spoiler) it wasn't 100% - next to last ep, Sable is talking about how they must fix the railing, etc. so the insurance inspector gives them a clean bill of health - BUT they must have sat on it since on the finale Alexis & ex fell over it.....
A time when Primetime was @ it's fiery best. Sable's accent only added to her gracious beauty and sexuality. Television of today in no way compares to television of yesterday. How did we go from shows like Dynasty and The Colbys to these housewives reality shows 😕😳🐽?
@@kwuankendricks2965 There was a classy, theatrical quality to Dynasty among all the camp that is sorely lacking these days. Everything now feels so trashy by comparison, even scripted shows trying to portray glamour.

True, but Dynasty was great at redoing the same storyline over and over again to the point of being mind numbing. How many times can Adam be psychotic and redeemed? How many times can Sammy Jo be vengeful? How many times can Krystle be a passive wallflower? I would have hated to see Dominique and Sable get that treatment.

I felt like Stephanie Beecham was my favourite "power woman" of Dynasty. She could do the cutting, the sexy, and the warm. She was like a mix of Krystle being actually quite nice and Alexis being plotting and striking hard.
and yet that insect..stopped sable in her tracks...sable was not in the same league with alexis..sable was nothing more that a shark..a great white at best..while alexis..was a killer whale..and of course in nature..a great white is no match for a killer whale... sable a fighter..alexis a warmonger taking no prisoners..as sable learned...alexis was Ruthless...and would spare no one..not even family..
@@arionassis-niarchos2895 WRONG. Sable is the only one in the entire series who truly brought Alexis to the brink of destruction. It was only because she agreed to Sable's terms that she didn't completely ruin her.
TV today is pure s---. Hundreds of channels and nothing to watch. When there was only ABC, CBS, and NBC, the quality of television programming was outstanding. Supposed "reality TV" is bottom of the barrel.
Joan and Stephanie were BRILLIANT they bounce off each other very well. Love to see them working together in what they both do best. Powerful,devious .and rich business and vindictive and glamorous women.

I don't care what anyone says original Dynasty beats the new one back in the 80s Aaron Spelling knew how to bring drama , camp and glamour to the small screen This new dynasty is going through the motions using the old show as a blue print
This new Dynasty is suppose to be an updated version of the original but in reality it is a slap in the face to Aaron Spelling, the entire cast of the original and to the devoted fans of the 80's mega hit. I just glanced the show last week and I couldn't believe my eyes. I'm surprised this show wasn't cancelled. Awful plain awlful.

Never having watched 'Dynasty' I had no knowledge of Stephanie Beecham role . She out acts Joan collins by ! Well one can act Miss Beecham. Iv'ejust seen her in 'TENKO'. Superb series, with outstanding actors ,Script .Production Prefere british TV to US by far.

The annoying thing is that this is one of the few things that made season 9 of Dynasty ok to watch - it's such a pity that they couldn't get Stephanie across with John James and Emma Sands at the start of season 8 after the Colbys was cancelled.
Yes, integration of the Colby family, would have been more common sense tactic, than their own spin off series, but of course, all of the superegos, involved in the production, of Dynasty, at the time, had other ideas!

Ha! Ha! Sable was something else. Alot of UK Actors worked on UK Shows. Stephanie Beacham was on Bad Girls as Phyl Oswin who did a Ponzi Scheme selling Real Estate which was Swamp Land. She also appeared as an Actress on The UK's Longst Running Soap Opera Coronation Street. Joan Collins on the other hand was on Bad Girls Sister Show Footballers Wives. Michael Praed (Michael) and Maxwell Caulfield (Miles Colby) were on the UK Soap Opera Emmerdale.
I love Alexis!!! but why would she sell her hotel where she actually lives, especially without a clause that she is to be able to remain indefinitely? I love these catfights but, I say, time to buy your own mansion Alexis dahling !
Alexis, sold the Carlton hotel, because Colbyco, was having serious financial difficulties, at the time, and she needed the money, to save her crumbling empire!

Sable Colby revitalized this show in its final season. You could tell both Stephanie Beacham and Joan Collins sank their teeth into the brilliant shade the writers scripted for their characters. It’s a shame the show was moved out of its regular time slot to Thursday night in its ninth season where the ratings tanked. I think we would have seen a few more years of these dueling divas if the show had remained on Wednesday night.
Stephanie's cut glass diction is so sexy. She was and still is impossibly gorgeous and such a fine actress. Look at her here, she looks visibly hurt and on the verge of tears when Alexis is taunting her, which she then gives way to bitterness as she gives Alexis her marching orders. Joan Collins is ok, but Stephanie is the superior actress in my opinion.
Sable was definitely the better and more interesting character in this last season. The character of Alexis lost something in this season and I definitely preferred Sable over her although I have always been an Alexis fan.
Let’s be clear …if Joan Collins hadn’t put Dynasty on the map after it’s first dull season there would have never been a Sable Colby for Stephanie Beacham to portray . Yes she was good as Sable and I enjoyed season 9 but she’s not in the same league as Joan and never has been or will be . Joan is an international star and icon known the world over who is still going strong at 90 and as fabulous as ever 😎😎😎

All the money Alexis had and she never bought her own estate, lived in a hotel. She obviously wanted one since she took Blakes briefly in 1986 but once she was out back to the hotel. I can see her owning it but living in it never made any sense.
Travis S. I may have misunderstood something, I believe Paris Hilton and her family lived in the Waldorf Astoria in NYC. If I owned a luxury hotel, with massive suites, five-star restaurant, housekeeping and staff a part of the hotel’s expense, not my own, etc., I would live there!
A lot of rich people live in hotels. I know a few personally. Especially in major cities like NYC, San Fran, LA, and Denver. Coco Chanel lived in the Ritz in Paris until the day she died (she even owned other homes). There is something worldly, cultured, and sophisticated about living in a hotel. Several luxury hotels have places you can "buy" within. You get all the amenities of hotel living without the responsibility of having to hire a staff.
