I clicked on your video and realised that your trackplan of the Inglenook layout is the exact same as the one that I am building! It even has the little headshunt on the 5-wagon siding :) it is really nice to see what you can make out of a simple wooden board with tracks, maybe one day mine will look just like yours!
Lovely small layout, very nicely detailed and gives a great aura of a little rundown yard. Got to agree with you on the modelling Boomer puts out, some of it is just jaw dropping and watching his stuff has made me far less worried about scratch building. Although his buildings look complicated when he shows you how it's done methodically and simply.
Absolutely outstanding. A simple shunting puzzle that has been turned into a masterpiece. The attention to detail is perfect. Little is more. Well done
What a pleasure to listen to and reflect upon your adventure. Agreed on Boomers style and influence and your description of the colour palette. Thank you for sharing the experience and happy modelling as you build your skills.
Thanks for the layout history, it is interesting to see how it is progressing, a well detailed layout, the raised trackwork gives it more real look and the fact it could be anywhere at any time adds to it's appeal. Nice one.
I'm researching micro layouts at the minute but my modelling skills are non existent as well as being totally colour blind could make for some interesting scenery combinations 😂 this looks exactly what I'm after though with a class 20 or 08 shunting a few trucks around...
Sounds a good plan .. Remember as you come up with track plan to take into account the length of the loco. A class 08 is perfect on here but a 20 or 25/24/31 restricts what operations you can re create.. A 37 is too big really but theirs always a reason you can come up with for anything being here🫣
