GS is in the A10 Warthog and I'm in the F16 Viper. We got to some issue with some SU35 Flankers... Hope you guys enjoy!

... why the SA-3 system did not fire. I'm curious how high you were and at what distance did you shoot? At first glance, it doesn't look like you're out of range of those missiles

I had been conceptualizing a combined arms strike in Arma 3 or DCS were a combination of CUAV, transport choppers, A-10s and F-16s would be used to layer a strike against any possible variety of targets. As in CUAV is armed overwatch, a chopper brings a team in, A-10 pounds ground targets and F-16 performs SEAD and air superiority. Very cool to see a part of that performed!

Did your jammer prevent you from getting your radar contact?

Dang, that last missile came of the SU's rail and went "Oh, helloooo!"

The DEAD part of the mission went right. Thankfully, there was only one air defense radar. When Longshot said radar contacts, I thought they were Mig-29s but to my absolute horror, they were the next worst thing. SU-35s with AESA radars, fox threes, and ECM pods.

Awesome! Definitely wouldn't mind seeing more of this!

Great duo. A10 goes low to take out SAMs and AAA. The F16 will cover and even drop a few munitions.

Imagine just having a friendly car meet and suddenly A-10 comes in with bunch of 30mms

I think ECM mode 1 prevented radar lock. I maybe wrong, but I think that was the reason why you couldn't get a lock.

Heartbreak that the sidewinder's got jettisoned. I understand the reasoning for it, but would've been so interesting to see if those could've turned the fight. maybe just ditch the ground bombs going forward lol Great vid, would love to see more like it :D

I've never really considered it before, but why doesn't the A-10 have the ability to carry HARMs? Is it just not fast enough to have a good range for them or something?

In my time loading A-10’s AIM-9’s were not loaded so they could be jettisoned.

I have the same problem with not getting locks with the F-16. Even with datalink when I can tell the target's distance and altitude relative to myself I just can't make it work a good 60% of the time. Is it a bug, is there something I've been missing, or does the F-16 radar just suck against hot targets below your altitude?
