not from the sound the brrrt makes a slitely different sound in rl this one is to low look: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-NvIJvPj_pjE.html
Not only did Insurgency Sandstorm have the best special effects, and sound, by far, they nailed something else some of other games missed completely. They got the aircraft strafing at the altitude and angle real A-10s actually operate at. The other games have the A-10 strafing at tree top level and acting more like a dive bomber that dives and pulls up at the last second. A-10s do not have to do that to hit their targets and would never needlessly put themselves at such risk. They want to get in and get out accurately, quickly and as safely as possible.
if i remember right, there AOA is about 25-26% and that pull off after 1 or 2, 3 second burst AOA= Angle Of Attack or Area of Attack, it depends on the context.
@@MilitaristTurkcu No, the most it could do against a modern MBT would probably be detonating the explosive reactive armor plates. Older tanks or APCs, sure.
3:06 Are we not gonna talk about how this guy somehow killed an enemy they couldn't see, narrowly missed hitting their friendly helicopter AND did a fly-by on a Chopper?
The tank was spotted (where friendlies/teammates mark an enemy they see which makes that enemy visible to the whole team and on the minimap for some time, while getting points if the enemy is killed) so all he had to do was shoot at the icon. Also he oculd probably see it better when he was playing rather than on the recording.
BO2's A-10 totally doesn't sound like one, but man was it terrifying. I remember the first time I had one called on me. A super loud roar and then the sound of, not bombs, but guided missles dropping everywhere wiping out an entire team. My absolute favourite killstreak in that game.
Fun factoid for the few that don't know: the reason the A-10 uses two engines -- besides the obvious benefit of having a backup -- is because a sustained burst from the 30mm gun would effectively nullify any and all thrust from one engine, risking a stall.
No, the two engines are an absolute necessity for any reasonable burst capabilities, as even going full thrust with both engines a sustained burst still produces more force.
"No hits on that run" *downs a harrier, causes thousands of dollars in property damage, destroys the entire place. Funny how they reject the first gun prototype because it was *too accurate*
@@killian9314 no the first prototype had too close of a spread that it was precise from high altitude, they wanted it to be a little less precise so they could hit large tanks and the infantry, supporting troops, or other vehicles nearby while strafing. The high firerate was welcome but made them weary if it would cause jams or issues.
MW2019, especially early warzone in Verdansk is something I'll miss. It was errie, that massive dead map with some scarce gunfire off in the distance, and occasionally a pair of A10 Warthogs doing a strafe run. I'll remember early warzone days, it was quite a time.
In a game like Cod, Insurgency, and Squads. You only mark targets for the warthog. But in a game like Battlefield and Arma, you're the one who pilot the warthog and shoot the marked targets your team gave. Epic moment when you became a CAS.
And in Ravenfield, you mod whatever planes you want you and the enemy to have, so doing a gunrun with an a10 is sweet till you hear BEBEBEBEBEBEBEEEEEEEE And and SU-37 strafes you while you are parachuting, or just slices you in half with the wing Ravenfield AI don't care about no nato rules.
The a10 is just so amazing in my opinion. When it goes down to fire and it is in groups firing at the same time, it’s so powerful. When they go back up it looks so cool
Balance. In the game's predecessor (bf3) the A-10's cannon was a 1 hit kill with splash damage and destroyed tanks in about half a second. Turns out, that makes the game significantly less fun for the enemy team.
Blake Cacini I remember that stupid shit. Sure it’s real. Just really fuckin annoying if you where on the receiving end. Literally couldn’t even play the game. 😂😂
If you knew what bf is you would know this is an arcady fps game and well... Getting 1 shot by jets wouldn't be very funny. If you want realism go play squad or something. And learn what bf is geez.
@@q-tip4723 It's really second best to Insurgency: Sandstorm. I wish the "brrrt" was more accurate to the irl sound, but the sound they have for it works.
Most traumatic experience you can have in a fps game is to fight Americans as a Terrorist in that game. Although the suicide bomber and IED is pretty scary too.
@@antrodaze910 theres a really good base game with the absolute best toolkit for making missions. Then there are insane amounts of mods that build on that
solders love seeing the A10 coming over the hill to help after playing BF4 and being saved a few times by one i understand why they love to see that thing so much
For the Arma 3 one you can use the CAS module in the effects section and it will spawn an A-10 to do CAS runs of your choosing, it can also use modded planes like the RHS A-10
In that clip the plane is RIGHT THERE In most clips, they get the timing of the sounds wrong. In the second MW clip, you should hear the BRRRRT before the impacts, because the planes are right on top of him, but you hear it when they‘re already done shooting
@@likefork yea but we'd head a 2-3 second delay from explosion to the actual firing of the gun, and if sound travels at ~1300m/s we can realise that the aircraft would have to be over 2 kilometres away. In these clips it would've been no more than 500 metres.
@@likefork That's not how sound work. If you are right next to something, like the A10 in MW3 you will hear the brrrt right away, and not 10 seconds later...
The fact that you literally can use the plane in Battlefield is mind blowing, while comparing it with COD (played Cod my whole life and this makes me want to try that thing XD)
I like Sandstorm Insurgency's accuracy with not just the gun sound (which sounds beautiful) but also how it stays at a high altitude instead of hitting the deck right on top of the enemy like the other games do XD
In Battlefield 4 the 30mm GAU-8 didn't fire High Explosive rounds, DICE did that to balance the Attack Jets. In Battlefield 3 the A-10 fired High Explosive rounds which made the Attack Jets amazing but completely overpowered against infantry that's why they were nerfed in BF4...
@@carlblack8574 but...but.... That makes it why A-10 Warthog so popular cuz its overpowered Note : this comment supposed to be a joke, cuz u know its video game and not IRL
@@sgt.verdian1945 I know but Attack Jets really ruined multiplayer matches. Jets in Battlefield 4 were really balanced compared to the gods that they were in Battlefield 3, in that game the GAU-8 was disgusting, if you aimed your gun in the general location of a squad you basically deleted them from the game, since the GAU-8 was a 1 hit kill to the body and it did splash damage, not even a tank was safe, the A-10 and the SU-25 were capable of destroying a MBT with a 2 second burst which is realistic... But realism doesn't mean fun hahaha.
*It's really fucking simple. I wouldn't recommend shooting at me because your gun goes pew pew, my fucking gun goes BRRRRTTT.* -CyanidePlaysGames, ArmA 3
1:02 I love how it's so unrealistic, firstly, those machines don't fly by like 30 meters above the ground but like 1-2 kilometers, and even if they do, the first sound u hear is from bullets hitting the ground and second one from the actual cannon, it happens like that because the sound travels slower than light, but you can't get like 3 seconds between those 2 sounds when the jet is like 30 meters above you cmon.
When i visit mt aunt's house in Ft.Walton Florida, there is a airbase like 30 miles away from her. You can see the a-10's f-15's and a couple other aircraft. They do gun runs and you can hear the a-10 from the bay across the street from my aunts house.
3:43 that's a mod btw ;) The original ArmA 3 A-10 is a futuristic version called the A-164 Whipeout and has a completely different sound Edit: The one where it's at night is the Whipeout, but the first ones are a mod
Insurgency did great, but I just wanted to point out that at very close range like Battlefield you're most likely not going to hear the delayed brrrt, since the distance is not enough for the difference velocity between the sound and the shell to do its job
I remember time where I used to panic in cod 2 when I hear the A10 I be like oh shi run to cover, especially when am trying get something very valuable like scorestreak or gold camo
Now out of them I say cod2 has it Idc about damage effects I care about the sound affect second IS which insurgence sandstorm for third it's a tie codwarzone and BF4
