I have a 2000 C2 in silver with Boxster red interior and aero kit. It’s done 64000 miles with full history etc. Don’t listen to all the keyboard warriors they are fantastic cars and if properly maintained and treat with respect very reliable
Yeah, but let's not kid ourselves. Most other cars will go 64k miles with improper maintenance and treated with zero respect. Of course they are not fantastic Porsche's I have an '00 C2, a triple black creampuff with 57k miles.
I luv all 911 headlights, even these i actually own a 99 996. What alot of ppl dont know is that these lights came straight off a porsche gt1 race car.so actually, it makes them special
this is a cute myth that folk came up with to make the headlights more lovable. The reality is that the GT1 was fitted with the 986/996 style headlights to make the GT1 more resemble the road going car. Look at a picture of the original GT1 and it has the headlights and tail lights from a 993. But again...cute story
Thank you guys for your videos. I have spoken with one of your reps and he was very helpful and quick to respond. I live in the USA but you never know I may purchase a vehicle from you.
have a gen 1 similar colour with tiptronic and full spec I bought with 47k miles for the equivalent of 12k GBP. Condition is great and drive is fun yet being a 2001 car it does need quite a lot of maintenance, rust is not an issue in HK as no salt on the streets yet all rubber parts age quickly due to humidity.
Nice to hear that you have a similar colour in tiptronic. Here in the UK the tip is popular amongst people. We agree that maintenance can be a lot but it's good to hear that you are bringing up to standard so it continues to give you many years of happiness and fun.
Nice video, nice car! I have to ask...where are your videos filmed? That group of buildings looks like it might have a very interesting history. What is the story with that property? Very cool!
Hi Tom, Thanks for the feedback. It’s an old Prisoner of War camp from the Second World War, the building are on a privately owned land and it does indeed have a very interesting story / history. If you are ever in the area, pop in to see us and will happily show you around for a quick guided tour. Basheer
As much of a problem with the headlights is that they are Boxster headlights and, along with the entire front half of the car, you got to pay $35k more to look the same as Porsche's budget car.
@@glennkey3461 Boxster came first, in 1996, 911 in 1998 ('99 in USA). So, not only does a 911 have the front half of a Boxster it is already 3 year old tech & design when it hit the showrooms. Regardless, they still sold a ton of both and it saved the company.
It’s probably me but I see this as an advantage since these parts are interchangeable and easily available, meaning parts will be cheap and easier to keep pristine
Thanks Lee, unfortunately the values of these have gone through the roof. It’s hard getting a decent example for £10K like we used to a year or two ago.
