@Ana Schrödinger510 I think the headlight design was first seen on the GT1 lemans car...can’t beat that right? You also get the famous Metzger engine which was also designed, and turbocharged, for the GT1 racecar.

When my state had 6 digits on the plate, i was assigned a plate that started with 345 and ended with what looked like it could be an acronym for my international scout. People familiar with them would say all the time “ok its got a 345 but what does XXX mean?” me: “nothing, it is what was generated”. Funny enough, in 2005 i put an LS motor in is so it didnt even have that motor anymore after 05.

I actually have always liked the headlights. The 996 was the current gen at the time when I was a kid starting to become a car enthusiast. Reminds me of my childhood whenever I see a 996. Especially the GT3s and 2s.

Those headlights are ugly and Its okay because the rest of the car Is gorgeous.

@@vedantawasthi5410 Strangely they actually do, there are countries where it is common to do them differently. If you need some evidence, I can't speak for all calculators, but Casio ones have it as an option in the setup menu.

Generally I agree with you here Doug but then I thought of a car (granted from 1994-1996) that still, to this day, has one of my all-time favorite interior designs; the 4th-generation Honda Prelude! That was an interior design so far ahead of its time that I actually think it still looks ultra-modern and beautiful even today in 2023! Btw, you should absolutely review a 4th-gen Prelude VTEC on the channel if you can ever manage to find a rare clean and un-modified one!

But everyone else can. And lets be real, the people that buy these cars are little more vain than most people.

@@Torikkaa depends on profession, salary, and what country you live in. Buying a new one is theoretically achievable, but it would cost way more than a decent apartment. Used ones are more affordable, but I have no desire to own an old Cayenne, and a decent first-gen Cayman is two-three times the price of a used Cayenne.

I had a young man talking smack about my Bentley because it's old (2002 Arnage) trying to make fun of me for not owning a brand new one. So I was all casual asking what year his Bentley was, then I pointed out his early 90s Chevy Beretta with a trash bag on the window and the red fender.

I wanted to do this last year. Was going to rent one from the Porsche museum. Sadly the credit limit in my credit card was 300 euros too small to cover the "warranty". Ugh! I'll make sure that doesn't happen again next time, I'm in Germany. It's about 400euros to rent a 911 for a day-totally worth it I'd say.

Most likely it a deoderant allergy. I used to have huge pit stains, and my dad did too. Like as soon as we go outside, they become huge and plate sized. I was super embarrassed and tried all the medical deoderants. Then I stopped wearing deodorant and using scented body wash. It just completely stopped. Now I just use a simple hippie deoderant, although anything with antiperspirant actually makes me sweat profusely. Its very odd, I wonder if he has a similar issue.

I used to sweat like crazy with antiperspirant on. Switched to deodorant only and don't have any problems. Definitely shouldn't be wearing two shirts. That's just exacerbating the problem.

Plus if you're worried about sweating to the point of two shirts and special deodorant doing nothing seems crazy. I agree, I think almost everyone who has sweating problems, is actually allergic to the anti antiperspirant deodorants. They can make people sweat, and regular deodorant like plain oldspice is fine.

I like the fried egg headlights because it doesn't just look like every other 911. When I first saw it I hoped Porsche were finally taking some bold steps forward with their aesthetics but a generation later it was back to the same old thing
