What do you think? Are you encouraged to hear that kids can memorize so much? To learn more about the available resources, check out their By the Book website here: www.bythebookthebible.com
What remarkable young people! It brought tears to my eyes, when the young lady reminded us (through memorized scripture of course) be not just hearers of the Word but doers. She said it exactly, the more you delve in the Word, the more you fall in love with God. The more you fall in love with God l, the more you want to obey and please Him! 🙏
This was a great podcast! I enjoyed every minute. I went to the By the Book website to see which version they are using and I can't find it there. Do you know?
Hey Ron, I'm so glad you were blessed by it. We have a contract with ESV and one with LSB in progress, so those are our primary translations when we do full books. Lord-willing in the future we are hoping to incorporate many translations so that people can memorize in whatever translation they are used to reading in.
I really wish bible memorization was more a thing here in the Netherlands. As soon as you memorize a little more than one verse you're seen as legalistic.
Hello Josh! Thanks for having my friends Catherine and Rose on your program. We encourage everyone to use their resources! I would love to be a guest again on your program as well. We have had similar results with children all around the globe memorizing whole chapters and books of Scripture word for word in English and their native languages. In the last 3 months, 65 students on the Island of Nias in Indonesia have memorized the entire book of Ephesians. Most recently, 14 children in an orphanage in Myanmar memorized all 51 verses of John Chapter 1 in only 6 weeks! Here they are - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Jb_qwerhado.html As you know I have used this methodology for 50 years and those who learned (for example) the book of Ephesians 50 years ago can still sing it word for word today. I would like to come back on your program if you so desire. I am challenging the Church in all nations to become Chapter Guardians of at least one chapter. So if all Bibles are taken away in paper form, and even on the internet, we will be able to reproduce the entire Bible from memory and write it out by hand. Millions of Muslims have learned the entire Koran by "reciting" (read singing) it. For 1000 years the Hindu Vedas were never written down. They are 100,000 verses! Three times the length of the entire Bible! They were passed down using a chanting system that preserved them not only word for word but syllable for syllable! Christian monks used to memorized all 150 Psalms by singing/chanting them. Oral cultures all around the world continue to pass their cultural stories down through a bard, troubadour or griot (African musical story teller). We are now in the time when God is rebuilding the one building He said He would rebuild - The Tabernacle of David! See Amos 9:11-12; Acts 15:12-18; Genesis 1:1-26; Deuteronomy 6:1-9; Deuteronomy 29:29; Joshua 1:8; Psalm 1; Psalm 49; Psalm 50; Proverbs 25:2; Isaiah 43:19; Isaiah 66:2; Matthew 24:35; John 1:1; John 15:7; Acts 15:12-18; Ephesians 5:18-21; Colossians 3:16-17; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 1 Peter 1:22-25; Revelation 1:16; Revelation 19:13. I rejoice in every method that helps people memorize and meditate on Scripture. Two advantages of using music (1) The person is joyfully meditating on the Scripture even as they learn it ... it is essentially effortless and natural. (2) Once learned to music the Scripture is retained for life with little or no review! Blessings on your RU-vid Channel and you great efforts to connect the Church to what God is saying in these last days. All of our music is FREE. We have now produce almost 33% of the entire New Testament. BibleSong.com and ru-vid.com/show-UCTfycq62rKvgSmwgad6q0YA
@@BibleMemoryGoal ❤It is good to see the message of Scripture memorization/meditation/obedience gaining momentum. The world is in such a state of chaos. It has always been true and is obvious all the more now that only our Lord Jesus is the answer and that His Word is so vital to living a godly life in these perilous times. Thank you for all you do to advance the cause.
