Thank you all for the love and I’m glad we got to answer this popular request! Is there live performances off this album that are essential?! Who’s ready for butter?!?! Ouu this is exciting 🥺. Talk to me 💜💜💜
I'm sorry i am not trying to be mean but you interrupted the songs all wrong. I think you think you know BTS well but you don't know anything just their names and a little of their background but not them as people so maybe it's a little hard for you to understand what they mean in their songs. But great reaction
@@dianaantusova9758 I don’t know anything about anyone and claiming that I know anything cause I’m no professional professor. You’re not mean. The great thing about music is it can be interpreted in so many ways. No saying that what I thought each meaning is right but people always hear and see things differently and it’s just my take aways. Music is objective and can be taken in various ways 🙂
@@FabrizioSalerno obviously you’re not gonna get everything first listen and as a new fan. music is interpreted whichever way you want it. i personally and many other army’s don’t interpret it to be a romantic album but more of a self reflection but thats not to say that you got it all wrong.
@@FabrizioSalerno I completely agree with you I just thought I should let you know to think about it differently but you weren't wrong you can interrupt it differently as you like
idk if you noticed but all seven of them had their own solo song in this album; persona - rm shadow - suga filter - jimin my time - jungkook inner child - v moon - jin ego - jhope and of course a rap line song (ugh!) and a vocal line song (zero o’clock) and the subunits were: jamias vu - jhope, jin, jungkook friends - v and jimin respect - rm and suga
The songs are not about a girl, its about them, their fans, each other, the world etc. BTS doesn't make specifically romantic love songs (they don't even use pronouns in their songs usually). Unless they are using it cause it fits the song. For example in their song i need you they first write i need you friend but it doesn't fit so they changed the friend to girl.
It is not true BTS doesn't make songs about romantic songs. They do have many songs about romantic love, romantic breakups and infatuation. However, it is also true they have many songs about different types of love, and some that are more open to interpretation.
- This is not even fast for RM. Have you heard Joke? 😂 - Map of the Soul is a book about Jungian psychology by Dr. Murray Stein on which much of their latest work is based. - And yes, MOTS:7 is a f...ing masterpiece! 😏👍
The thing about bts songs is that while they can be interpreted as referred to relationships,it never actually stops there, listening to their albums i feel like in many songs there's always an hidden bigger picture.
@@lyna2559 that’s basically what I said. I said love for a girl or some other person. I didn’t say that they weren’t about self love and Army. And I know about their old albums I’ve been an army for over 6 years. It’s not really an exaggeration.
MOTS7 is the best-selling physical album of 2020 and was awarded IFPI Global Album Sales Chart winner which includes global digital and physical sales. Their latest album BE (based on the recent pandemic) that was released in November came in second 💜edit: ohh I just realized Map of the Soul 7: The Journey (Japanese album) came in 8th! Frances Moore, Chief Executive of IFPI, said: “BTS’ success across IFPI’s global charts - including the top two positions in this chart - is unprecedented and demonstrates the amazing global appeal of their music. We would like to congratulate the band once again on such a successful year.”
The first 5 songs are originally off their Map of the Soul: Persona album. And yes there are solo and subunit tracks on the album too. Intro: Persona-RM solo Boy With Luv ft. Halsey OT7 Make It Right OT7 Jamais Vu- Jin, Jungkook, J-Hope Dionysus OT7 Interlude: Shadow-Suga solo Black Swan OT7 Filter-Jimin solo My Time-Jungkook solo Louder Than Bombs OT7 ON OT7 UGH!-rapline song (RM, Suga, and J-Hope) 00:00 (Zero O Clock)-vocal line song (Jin, Jimin, V, and Jungkook) Inner Child- V solo Friends- Jimin and V Moon-Jin solo Respect- RM and Suga We Are Bulletproof: The Eternal OT7 Outro: Ego-J-Hope solo ON ft. Sia OT7
Ohmygod yesss 💜 you reacted to MoTS :7 finally! Was about to sleep but it can wait ! Edit : Dionysus was a Greek god famously known as the god of wine but not only that he was also the god of ritual madness, resurrection... To BTS they get drunk on their music, Dionysus was also half blood god who was to my knowledge I could be wrong born twice , so BTS kind of translate this into being born as themselves and again as artists... Well at least this just my take on it ...💜 Interlude Shadow- this is one of the most vulnerable song ,I really hope you check out the official music video for it, shadow as Suga says that , when he started fame , recognition and success was what he worked hard for years of that hard work took him to where he is now, but as everything good comes with a price this to came with it , suga says that all the things that he buried , his fears , his true self all became something like a shadow which threatens to overshadow him ,. Now he is at the top where no one else has ever been the way he or all of the BTS has reached now he is afraid what now ? What if he falls ? And now he realised that his true self and the persona he shows to people cannot be separated forever and that he has to accept both facets of his personality as his own and make peace with it .... This was unnecessarily long but I hope you read this and it helps at least a bit ! 💜 Ugh : I NEED YOU TO CHECK OUT THE EXPLANATION BY DKDKTV... Please please do , you don't even have to react to it ... It just has such a great message, a deeper meaning it's amazing 💜
hey I'm glad you took the time to listen to this album or any bts music but as a recommendation, most of their songs are not romantic lyrics but about their journey and personal growth, like this whole album, and honestly I would dear to say it's not up to interpretation in terms of theme of the songs bc they themselves have talked about what those songs are about. Also if you check the doolset website, the song lyrics come with notes that explaine lyrics and sometimes the background/history behind the songs, I'm not saying this bc I want to disrespect you or am trying to be rude, but I do think it would make the experience more enjoyable but it's up to you
I think for Filter, Jimin is mostly talking about himself having many different "filters" with his public persona. He is seen as cute, sexy, smart, funny, etc and he's kind of just saying these are all facets to my personality, but it's not the full, actual me.
Alright, so jamais vu is the opposite of déjà vu. So when something that is routine and you've done so many times is unfamiliar to you. I think it's a professional psychology term like déjà vu. That explains the sudden turn in the album, where everything seems happy, but all of a sudden feels wrong and unfamiliar (although it also makes sense in the big frame of Jungian philosophy and path for self-discovery). Jamais vu is the distortion in the ideal/surface/persona.... And then you dwell into the shadow part of the album ^^ Yo, there is a lot of depth to all of this, but the comment would get too long, so I'll stick to Jamais Vu haha
I'd say listen to "Home" and "Mikrocosmos" because they are on the 1st part of the series but not included in the MOTS:7. You can listen to "LOVE YOURSELF: ANSWER" (a compilation album with new songs) next with "Pied piper", "134340(pluto)","paradise", "love maze" and "so what" as those are the ones that got left out fro the previous 2 albums. thus you would have covered all the Love yourself series (LOVE YOURSELF: TEAR & LOVE YOURSELF: HER were the other 2 albums)
Is there anyone who actually enjoys that version? I always say I don't any BTS song, but ON ft. Sia comes close, it was just no needed and the mixing is strange.
im not sure if you said this in the video but for translations i recommend doolsetbangtan's website bc their translations are the most accurate imo, they also give some context for some lines non-koreans won't understand , great reaction ! •́ε•̀
I'm so glad you finally reacted to this album!! If you want to check out some of their live performances, I definitely recommend their SNL performances (Boy With Luv, Mic Drop) and their performances from BTS week on The Tonight Show. They also performed ON at Grand Central Station for The Tonight Show and it was epic!! Their 2020 MMA performance was also amazing and it kinda broke ARMY when it came out lol. Awesome reaction 😁💜💜 Can't wait for more!
I think it's cute and fun that you listened to the album without a ton of context so you attached your own interpretation to each song. Music is subjective and we all hear different meanings in the songs, and that's totally fine. If you are interested though, the album overall is about a journey of self discovery and their experiences over the 7 years of the 7 members' careers (the map of their souls) 7 is meaningful to them for that reason and lucky for them, and I think that the title references how BTS is an integral part of who they all are. It's based on Carl Jung's Map of the Soul theory of psychology in which the Persona, Shadow and Ego represent a different facet of you: persona is what you present to the world, shadow is your unconscious self, and ego is the conscious mind. Maybe that will help put some context to the different sections of the album. A few songs that I wanted to point out off the top of my head though: My Time is about Jungkook's lost childhood since he grew up as an idol, Filter is about the different sides of Jimin, Friends is about Taehyung and Jimin's friendship (they went to high school together), UGH! is about pointless/performative anger, Dionysus is about getting drunk on their art, 00:00 is more of a personal reset than a relationship reset, WAB: the eternal is about BTS + ARMYs and there's actually a We Are Bulletproof pt. 1 and pt. 2 in their early music. Bulletproof because BTS = Bangtan Sonyeondan = Bulletproof Boy Scouts. This album actually has a lot of references to their old music including sampling old tracks, which fits in with the whole 7 year journey theme. Most of the songs are about personal experience more than romantic relationships. I think knowing this makes the album more interesting but also, every interpretation is valid. The music slaps and you look like you're having a blast listening to it!
You should react to the album Love Yoursef: Tear next! Thank you for the reaction! Edit: An interesting thing to notice is that BTS make genderless lyrics! Also, each person interprets songs differently so I don't know if I should correct you on some meanings or not 🤔
i'm sorry but i can't stand how he got the topic of a relationship from,,, most of these songs. especially 0 o'clock and friends like my god.... the meaning of 0 o'clock being "EVERY DAY IS A NEW CHANCE TO RUN TOWARDS A BETTER LIFE" is right in your face. also friends is literally called friends..... they mention 7 summers.... 7 winters.... the album is called 7..... how hard can it be to tell the song is AT LEAST about each other. like not even asking him to realize it's about jimin and taehyung's friendship specofically. there isn't even any romantic vocabulary in it. why can't it be about friends lmfao no it had to be about a 💫lover💫 i mean yeah it could make sense cause we're talking about vmin 🥴 i mean shii. and i won't even get started on my time cause everybody thinks it's about a relationship. as soon as they hear "i can't hold ya-" BOOM!!!!! none of what he said before that matters anymore. "feels like i became an adult too fast" WHOOSH flew over their heads. korean lyrics who i only know the english chorus. anyways
For a live reaction, do MMA 2019 perforance (but listen and read the lyrics for Boy in luv and mikrokosmos before hand) there they performed Persona, Boy in luv and Dionysus (along with the other 2 songs). or watch the MAP OF THE SOUL ON:E concert but you'll have to edit it heavily.
Also, Friends is actually a song written by Jimin and Tae about their friendship. It’s full of funny inside jokes about the two of them. You should watch an interview with them talking about it!
I am so glad you enjoyed the album! I agree with you on the Sia version of On, I don’t hate it but the original is so much better. Loved hearing your intake of every song!!
I feel like a lot of people who have been with BTS for long always look at songs with theories in their heads... Being new to fandom, it's nice to see that your reactions are totally from a fresh eye or fresh perspective..
Just watched your reaction. I know a lot of comments said the interpretation is different but I loved your interpretation. BTS' art is always personal but they have always said it is upto the listener Also yes on ft Sia is an abomination and as a fandom we kinda pretend it doesn't exist 😂
this album isnt about girls and partners the album is about the 7 of them and ARMY and the year that they dropped this album is was the 7th year of being a group which is a big thing in kpop cuz most groups dont survive the 7 year curse and disband after 7 year so this album was bts celeabrating that they survived and that they will keep going because they arelike a brother hood to eachother and because they love ARMY
I’m glad you enjoyed the album! It was so fun watching you go through it😁. I think it’d be interesting if you watched the DKDKTV explained by a Korean videos for Persona, Shadow, Ego. It explains a lot of cultural references and some of the themes in the song. Highly recommended! Also, completely agree about the On remix. To me, the album ended with Ego.
Ngl It kinda annoyed me a bit that you didn't read the notes at the beginning of every song lmao you would have know then that Boy with Luv is a song made for army, BTS say it themselves a lot uwu and that Dionysius is about getting drunk on art and creating music (because the word art and alcohol sound similar) en Korean) Thank u so much for the reaction tho I enjoy when people talk about what every song makes them think uwu💜
1-Nice reaction👍 l know that a lots of person are pointing out the fact that you got most songs meaning wrongs .But As Army I think you did well for first listen to album especially that you are new to bts so you don't know much about them ,divers discography and concepts, most important you enjoyed and tried to interpret it in you're way . music is subjective. As RM and suga said:our music is for listeners . 2-"Map of soul 7 " is basically about Thiers journey as persons and artists in 7 years of career how they growth there are discovering themselves facing life , it also have deep thoughtful message to listener since it about psychological concept >process of individuation inner struggle that anyone can have between his persona/shadow/ego of inspired by "map of soul " book by Carl Jung(famous physiological analytic) listen again to each songs of album in you're own using :doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com for lyrics translation to get better understanding.+ Thiers is many explanation video from Korean Dkdk TV ,xCelsest . - in fact Thiers albums are composed from several parts with mix of ;group ,sub units, solo members songs. All connected with each others with important concepts it's like a well-written novel having introduction, development, twists, and conclusion it shared a compelling story. With meaningful deep relatable messages 3-advice for you're future bts albums reactions that can help you :> do album reaction in 2 or 3 parts ,with whole songs without skipping .. >read note before each album and songs it can give little idea about song meaning >for language lyrics in official MVS it fine you can turn eng cc but for other songs to get full understanding Don't just look at .any lyrics colored videos or web translator Cause there is sometimes wrong translation .that don't convey meaning when it come to Korean languages > after listening to song use :doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com when it come to bts lyrics for theirs group as well ad Thiers solo work > it best reference most accurate translations( there some explanation and info notes about Korean words play metaphors nd messages of songs)
itsnot pinky promise! jimin's pinky finger is the smallest aming them while v has the largest hand among them. they always make fun of jimin for that. the whole song is about their friendship, their fights, their special moments, the dumpling incident , dreamcatcher !!
Yes!!! Of course I usually wouldn’t believe me. So since the album is 20 tracks for pacing purposes so we can all can consume the album in under an hour that has to be done
