Idk if you still tune into your channel, but man.. I miss watching your videos. You inspired me to start living in my truck two years ago and I’m up to $120k saved. I splurged a little traveling, but looking back to this channel, you gave me the blueprint. Hope all is well brother!
Still binging old episodes lol recover that password, we need an update! I’m up to 152k now and I wanna hear about how you’ve been navigating through home ownership.
Don't worry about it really. I kinda fell into firefighting caught the fire bug they say. I'm turning 33 this year made 88k last year used to make 28k. Maybe learn a couple different skills get and stay in shape the amount of opportunities available just because your in great shape well it definitely doesn't hurt. Learn to invest and about assets and liability, create passive income so you don't have to work off of time and effort.
Hey Sam, we ran into each other In a truck stop bathroom last night outside Sacramento around 3:47 AM. You said to reach out on your RU-vid channel. Thanks for the memories!
Good luck with the new home. Hopefully not in the areas of CA with the wildfires (but perhaps its useful being a firefighter if there is one there.;-))
it's my pleasure to have you on my youtube channel, you are randomly selected among winners for today .. Hit me up on telegram for your (prize) 🎉🎁. Congratulation 🤝
I’m a career Firefighter now for 18 years when you said you had years of fire suppression training and then showed yourself cutting the grass I spit out the coffee I was drinking laughing only a firefighter would catch the humor in that!! Great update
@@XDwfoxface grass is considered and "explosive" material. Really this is more so about grassla d areas with dark brown or golden grass. But these and materials that should be regulary maintained to lower risks for wildland fires.
A firefighter almost burning his house down, forgets his YT password for two years - Weed smoker confirmed. Didn't even need the hat as confirmation. Dry and sarcastic as ever, Sam. Good to see you.
Congrats on being a home owner. Looking forward to the grand tour. Its great to see another video from you. Made my day. You crack me up; I really dont know how you keep a straight face for these. Thanks for all the entertainment!
Dude, thanks for showing me what I'll look like and how I'll feel about life and living and such. I'm a 26y/o firefighter living out of a pickup truck. I'm doing this to stack cash for purchasing land, plus I strongly enjoy living this way. Going to check out your channel. Love your sense of humor and freedom.
It was a spiritual experience watching this video. I hope you'll show us the long awaited crib. Really hope you have an HOA. That would provide decades of priceless content
Sam, I’m running through your videos again..they’re that good. Please keep us updated. That jerky you were preparing. Was that Daisy? Thanks for your service.
I Came here to check on the status of the HFF and loved loved the latest post and update. BUT hate it’s been a year since the last post….😢. Your deadpan and extremely witty commentary is more of what the RU-vid’s and my soul needs. I hope all is well and look forward to hearing more about the latest and greatest from the OG HFF, now HOFF….(sooner than later please.). 😊
ok, i’m doing it. kicking around this idea for few years. living out of my suv and stacking cash. the goal is to buy a sailboat in a few years. got rid of the townhouse. sold/gave away everything and started rigging out my suv. did a test run last two weeks. so far, it’s the heat (ky), power, refrigeration, and bowel movements that are my biggest hurdles. i intend to document everything. thx for inspiring me. -colton
Great to see you back and hope you find happiness in your new place. I'm still waffling on pulling the house trigger. Looking forward to seeing your setup.
Damn I’m 37, due to the jab mandates I lost my 80k/year job and will be moving back with my mom very soon. You’re one lucky hombre. Before anyone judges me for not taking the jab, I have permanent heart damage from an electrical accident when I was an apprentice electrician and my doctor advised against it but is unable to give me an exemption or even speak openly as that would cost him his job under these tyrannical mandates in Canada.
Good on you for not folding due to social pressure. I got a divorce last year and had to move in with my mom. It was a hit to my pride but at the end of the day it's been such a blessing. Wishing you luck on your new journey!
Wow. I’m a 37 year old firefighter… been doing it full time for about 15 years. My wife and I have been together for about 21 years now. I respect anyones choice to make the medical decision that suits them. I don’t care what your reasons are… it’s your choice and none of my business. My wife makes about 4x my salary at her US government contracted job. She is an HR/IT manager for a huge company and she was tasked with logistically planning the firing of literally thousands of her coworkers. It made her physically ill over the past few months to plan this mass “voluntary” termination. It’s been a huge conflict of interest for her. She has quoted the general council (AKA top lawyer to the company) mocking the brave few doctors that actually put medical exemptions through. MEs were extremely rare and almost never approved. Religious exemptions were non-existent… they wrote them off. Her stories are appalling. It’s sick what they thought they could get away with. By her own choosing, she made a big change this week… She took a new job as “full time mom” to three beautiful kids. In her resignation letter, she addressed that “I’ve realized my values no longer align with the values of the company.” Her boss STILL tried to offer her a retention bonus and huge raise and was shocked when she declined. She’s taking time to be at home now which is perfect. Doesn’t pay as well but it’s definitely a promotion. Money is nothing without happiness. A new truck… nice big house… Etc. It’s nothing without happiness. Good luck to you. I’ll be praying for anyone impacted by these mandates.
Binge watching your videos again my dude haha I remember when you only had like 10k subscribers wild I hope you you give another update at least a yearly one 😀
I would love to live out in a cabin like that! Thats awesome. Don’t ever feel ashamed for living in the most ridiculous times in history and living with your mom.
Great content. I wish you the best of luck in your life journey. I hope you keep the content coming. I find your presentation and video video style refreshing and enjoyable to watch.
Damn. I found your channel because they were talking about you on reddit and I came to see what’s up but I see you haven’t posted in about a year. I will subscribe and turn the notification bell Lauren just in case you pop back up, but your story is very inspiring. I now live in California after growing up in Philadelphia and becoming the black sheep of my family which let me to become a loaner nomad living alone in my vehicle in California. Appreciate the videos in the perspective. ❤
So glad to see an update. Glad you're doing well Sam, congratulations on the new house! Sorry about the divorce with Mikasa. Please keep us updated, and I wish you the best on your new endeavor "Sam's Cumbucha".
I am 70 years old. Never married and childless. Had I met this man years ago, I would still be single and childless. But my life would have had more laughter. And... you never know. Keep aging, sweetie. I’ll wait for you.
One of the coolest things about your homeless adventures was the vanlife lifestyle and being able to hit many points around town in your pickup truck. There were lots of changes in scenery as you went about your day running errands and driving to different spots. I miss that type of content, but do what makes you happy Sam
Brother , like you simply trying to find my way , heading south , sold everything , heading to colombia , and then beyond , travel more , live more , get out of the bubbles created for us .. you thought about traveling further and continuing your channel ?
Congrats on doing so well, but I hope you know that we'd love to watch your content, regardless of whether it's based off of you being homeless or not!
